Scam artists.

Scam artists. Found a car for my daughter with an attractive internet price. Called ahead to say I’m coming to test drive it. I get there, they can’t find the car. When they find it, it’s dirty inside and out. Test drive it anyway and then start talking numbers. Get told by sales guys about a $2k “reconditioning fee”. And another $1k “documentation fee”. Then the a manager comes over and, when asked about the extra fees, states “this is a certified used car, if you want it to be a certified used car the $2k is for the paperwork to do that.” I’ve been buying cars for 40 years and couldn’t believe this nonsense and bold-face lying. I wouldn’t buy a care from these guys if it listed for 6 bucks. You’ve been warned.

My parents recently bought a used car from Carroll Buick

My parents recently bought a used car from Carroll Buick of Venice. I noticed the car had runs of paint and overspray all over the left side of the car and around the rear quarter panel. The paint was rough and was apparently touched up by another individual but it was not disclosed that body work was done on the car. My parents asked if they could have the paint corrected but James, the Sales Manager stated he would not repaint the car. This dealership made no attempts to help my parents and was very rude by saying it was their problem. I asked if my parents could have their trade in car back and he stated it went to auction which was untrue as it was listed for sale on their website. Very disappointing how this dealership treated my elderly.parents.

Service department horrible

Not sure what’s going on with the service department. Brought my car in for warranty work they had to order parts. I don’t work anywhere near the dealer sat down there on Saturday to fix the job Sunday I went to open up the trunk that they worked on my rear hatch, and there was parts missing, they never told me that Saturday after the job was “completed” I called left a message and they said oh yes those parts were on back order you’ll have to come back down again. I work till four every day and that’s the latest appointment they can get me in at or come down on another Saturday and waste my Saturday to go down. This is all very unacceptable and I will not use your service center again, nor recommend it to anybody.

What is going on at Starling Buick ????????

I took my car in to have the battery checked and a multi vehicle inspection 4/12/23. The service writer told me after waiting from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 am. the battery tested bad. He said they had a battery and the cost was over $300 installed. The problem was the vehicle WAS STILL UNDER THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY ! After a few minutes he said he put the wrong vin number in the computer. Was I going to be ripped off by Starling or was it really a mistake ?

Oil change, air filter tire rotation

Drove in for routine service as mentioned. Drove out with a check engine light on. Drove back in to get it figured out. Computer diagnosed a bad IAC. Turned out to be a sensor was knocked loose during the air filter change. No further repairs were needed and I thank customer service for figuring it out and no additional costs incurred.

Service not so good at Starling Buick/GMC.

I came in to the dealership like I always do, for an oil change and tires rotated along with the rest of that service. Tires were a little low on air when I came in and they were not checked since they were still low when I drove out. I usually get a sticker on the windshield replaced for the next oil change and they took the old one off but, never placed a new one. I have to say the amount it took for the oil change was good but the service may not be as good as it use to be. And, they still have bad coffee, powder cream, and nothing to munch on while waiting.

Lousy service!

Our appointment was at 11:00 AM for oil change. We were to it would take about 50 minutes so went to lunch at Old Salty Dog. Got back about 40 minutes later, so went to their lounge. It’s now 12:35! I went to check and was told it would be ANOTHER 20 MINUTES! Two hours for an oil change?

Great experience

Orlando Fernandez was great. I told him what I wanted , took the vehicle out for a test drive ( may have scared him a little lol ) but he was a good sport . He made sure I knew all the functions and gadgets of the car. We bantered price a bit like normal when buying a car. But I was happy with the end result. I was very happy with my experience there and I absolutely love this SUV .

Staring Collision Center

Definitely wouldn’t recommend the collision center, they are scam artists that will test your intelligence if they think you don’t know anything about cars. Zero communication skills. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I’m sure they would have many more bad reviews if most of their customers weren’t elderly. If you’re reading this, be sure to read their reviews on yelp as well as every other site, not just Google. I wish I would’ve read before taking my vehicle here.
