Drive Time got me in a car
I was able to get into a very good car with bad credit and a low down payment. I like the fact that they try to help build your credit. I may have to lay a little more but with my credit that's expected

I Love the people at the Pelham Drivetime
I have bought a Ford Escape and now a Hyundai Elantra from this dealership. Both times I bought my vehicles the people have been very helpful. They never pushed me into a vehicle and they have answered all my questions even the stupid ones. They made the process very easy and in enjoyable. When my son wrecked my Ford Escape and I owed money still they helped me get in another one. At times when I had financial trouble in the past they did not pass judgment they just helped me work through it. If asked I would definitely tell people about Drivetime. My husband agrees with me that we most likely will buy all are cars at Drivetime. Thank you for being there for my family.

Drive time seems to work for someone with credit issues and limited options. Add about $4,000 to the sticker price of any car. They basically push you get an extended warrantee, gap insurance and the most interesting of all a product called Skylink GPS, which is really just an interesting way for them to get you to pay for a product they put on the car anyway so they can find and repo the car if you default on the loan. They get the customer to pay for features (probably at a premium) that protect their investment. You don't have to purchase the extra products but if you don't the monthly payment will be the same because they shorten the length of term on the loan. The problem with buying the products is your loan amount is about $4,000 more than the value of the car so you are buried in negative equity so good luck refinancing when your credit improves. It is a clever business plan but slightly predatory lending practices. Having said all that, the products do have value and they disclosed them prior to contracting. If you have credit issues it seems like a place to get a decent vehicle and rebuild your credit. Time will tell if buying from them was a mistake or a good choice.
