Was called by the a guy claiming to be the GM and asked why I didn’t purchase his car when I visited. I told him because Frankie my sales person was more... interested in me personally than selling me a car. That he made me very uncomfortable asking question that had nothing to do with a sale. He asked me things like “why aren’t you married” and “Do you like older guys” and the one that really got me was “with a body like that you should have no problem making payments” admittedly I laughed it off because I was embarrassed. I won’t return and I will tell you if you want to be treated like a piece of meat go there. So in the end I told the guy who called me and said he was the General Manager (probably not) Tyler or Kyle or something this and all he had to say was “so are you still interested in the car”. I hung up. I was not going to be the “sweetheart” he referred to me as.
On Wednesday while waiting on the sales person to pull my car around I could here a conversation amount a group of men who appeared to be managers. One... of them, who appeared to be the leader was using the “ F” word every other word. He was not even yelling! It seemed to be his favorite word. I did not buy the car because they could not find it but thought that was very disrespectful especially coming from the person who appeared to be the General Manager because he returned to an office saying that on the door. This company needs training on these things. Very unprofessional!
I must say I was very disappointed. I purchased a 2014 Cadillac escalade and when you purchase that type of car you expect a certain level of service.... I was contacted by the internet sells person quite a bit so I give them a high grade. But after that it goes down hill. I still had to spend 4 hours in the place when I was a cash buyer. I was never shown the features or how to operate the bluetooth, radio, navigation etc, I was not even shown the manual to review for future questions on my car. I noticed before I was going to pull off there were some minor scratches on the car. Before I came I mentioned that the car fax showed it had damage. I asked if that was taken care of before they were going to sell it. They said yes, well it was not. I was told to come back on another day, I said how long would it take, they said about an hour. I came back two days later and waited four hours only to be told another 15 minutes and they will be done at least four times. Then I was told the reason it was taking so long is because they locked the keys in the car. Finally I kept calling to see when was the plates were in. They said they would call me when it does. Well it came in this past sat, on tuesday I still did not get a call, I just went up to the location and picked them up ,they were there since saturday--This is my 10 car in 30 years of buying cars, my third purchase of a cadillac --and the worst experience I ever had
Sloan was great from start to finish!! Made everything clear and simple! He made my car buying experience as pleasant as possible. I will definitely be... recommending Sloan Hood to all my family and friends. This is the experience everyone should have purchasing a car I’m truly blown away!! They are definitely doing things the right way here!! Sloan Hood is the man!!
National lampoons car buying experience has to be with this company! My fiance was looking for a used car and was on the phone with a woman at the 45... and beltway 8 location all day... after a few phone calls with her a deal had been worked out... total price of car at $400 a month.... not the $480 originally quoted. We decided it was worth the drive to see this car. We live 45 miles away dropped his old car off at the autonation usa katy spot to be appraised for trade in. We get there and the first sign these people don't know what they are doing, the guy we were told to drop the car off with didn't know he was supposed to appraise the car and call the other auto nation with the amount. We drove the 45 miles, get to the store and the woman comes out and says let me get the paperwork. So i said we want to see the car first. She unlocks it, beautiful interior, looks great after about 1 minute of us looking at the car she tells us the monthly payment will be 480.00 we said what happened to the 400... she said they couldn't honor that. So my fiance and i close the doors saying that was not what she said 2 hours prior on the phone... and we went back to our car as she walked into the building.... not once saying let me show another car or can we sit and talk about... just walked back in. So we are driving again, back to katy where my fiance gets a call from the store manager stating he was sorry, that isn't their policy blah blah blah. So we get to autonation katy... tell them the story, and proceed to get his car to go somewhere else. Well his car dies before we can even get it out of the parking lot... rough night. This dealer also has a similar car we were intrested in... so we were there and decide to test drive it. You could feel the transmission was having problems, we let them know. They said they would look at it. So we test drove a few more cars... nothing grabbed us. So we left there waiting to hear back about the transmission. Leaving the door open that this company might still be good and that was just one bad seed. I am not sure what was found out about the transmission... but we went to a different dealership (with customer service) and they told us over the phone what was wrong with the car they had (rotors would need smoothed in 6 months) we asked if they would do that and we would test drive the vehicle, they had no problem got it done in a couple hours! Anyways my fiances old car was still in katy... so he calls them back and says i need to get my car unless you all want to buy it.... they said sure they would buy it. The guy at autnation katy told my fiance to meet him at 5:15 tonight... so my fiance calls him as he is passing our house to make sure. He doesn't answer... leaves a voicemail for him to call back... never does. So my fiance gets to the store here in katy and finds this guy.... who then tells him we can't buy it because it doesn't run!! It had been parked at their lot for 48 hours they knew and saw the whole thing... but once again wasting our time! So my fiance called a tow truck to come get the car. Their customer service is not good and i won't trust what they say much less giving them $1000's of dollars based on their assessment of any vehicle. Not only did the I-45 store lose our buisness ... auto nation as a whole lost any of our future buisness.
I met the salesman Kimbrough Austin and he was amazing he really showed he cares and really wants to help you everyone there is so friendly and polite... and it is a great place buy your car. I recommend you go there and ask for Kimbrough for the best service you can ask for.
Autonation USA, Katy was a one stop shop. My husband and I found the car we wanted online, I submitted a request for an appointment online and was immediately... called by Juan Gomez, after. The next day we test drove the car, received an appraisal for our trade in, and had to get to an appt elsewhere. We later submitted a credit app over the phone and were approved shortly after. I had a specific car payment in mind and they met that request. We agreed to terms and went in when we were ready to sign papers. We were able to go to breakfast while waiting for all documents and then drove off in our car that had a beautiful pink bow upon arrival. I've never had a smoother car buying experience and will rave on about this location to everyone. All staff were pleasant, the facility was bright and fun, walls were artistic and specific to Houston, there was a okay area for kids and it was an all around great place to be. Juan took care of us and had a very efficient followup process to make the transaction easier. He answered all questions with ease and had great customer service. We are very grateful to have stumbled across a place like this.
My overall experience was quite well actually, the person I worked with was very kind and hands-on about the date/time I could come in and look at the... car and the payment process and which would work best for me and which one wouldn't and if it would be easier to pay in all cash or do a monthly car payment. I was also a little confused over which model of the car was better to go with since one was a newer model but I liked the color on the other 1 better, so I went with the newer model because he/she explained the newer model held a little more gas per mile and had the updated back up camera and g-ps unlike the other model of the car, I could always go to an auto-repair place and get a good paint job in the color I like.
