    The Service in the service department is horrible They lied about part not being available. Then all of a sudden it is. Told me work would be at a certain... time as I made other arrangements. And it was not done in time

    I went in looking for a new car, but my Sales guy Miguel showed me a Camaro with low miles and cheaper too. I drove it and could not get out of that car!... Long story short I left with the camaro and completely gave up getting a new car. Sometimes getting the looks and power of a used car is more worth it!

    I came into Zeigler's service department two weekends ago to have the brake fluid reservoir with connector swapped out. I was impressed by the way the... service technicians prepped my vehicle. They even put a protective covering on my steering wheel to keep it clean. Waiting area is inside the dealership, and it is clean and climate controlled. You can either watch TV or stroll along to check out the new Cadillac or Buick models. My service advisor, Salmon, kept me updated as to the status of my vehicle. About two hours later, Salmon escorted me to my freshly washed and dried Cadillac with no charges as I am under warranty. I left perfectly content with a very pleasant service experience.

    The internet sales manager and I agreed on a price and I took a day off, rented a car, to travel there. When I got there, the salesman, not the internet... sales manager, was to handle the sale. Amadeus Garcia gave me a price of over six thousand, five hundred dollars, more than what I agreed to. Thousands of dollars in fees: government ($2,500), plus a worthless paint protection program ($995.00) and a few other whoppers including an $800 document fee (By law Illinois cannot charge you more than $300.). I rejected them, and stuck to what the internet sales manager agreed upon. Amadeus asked where I got the price. I showed Amadeus the quote from the internet. Amadeus claimed, that even though the price was backed by USAA/TrueCar, it wasn't valid. Amadeus came back with a list of fees, and another bottom line number. I added the fees and realized the fee number was $2,500 less than his bottom line number. When I asked him about the difference he went on a rant about me calling him a liar. And Amadeus didn't let up with his vituperation when I noticed with every revision, as a minor fee was diminished, the price of the car rose by two hundred dollars. Amadeus and I traded prices a few more times. My telephone was running out of power so I asked to borrow a charging cord. After I made a few telephone calls and checked the web to see if his fees and prices were legitimate, he took back the charging cord, claiming he was already giving me too much information. Again Amadeus ranted about me calling him a liar, claiming that by checking his figures and fees I was calling him a liar. When I was wavering, I asked to see the figures again, Amadeus told me he had thrown the papers (With my credit history.) away, he couldn't recall anything except his final quote. i asked that the papers, since they had personal identification on them, be shredded. Amadeus assured me that they had. Then Amadeus' manager came by and leaned on me a bit more; pressing for a deal. Then the papers re appeared -- they were in Amadeus' desk drawer. When the manager and I were only the price of several small and worthless fees and markups totaling $1,700 (Paint protection program ($995.00) and the rising cost of the vehicle.) I realized I couldn't reward a bunch of bullies, liars, and cheats w/ a sale. Late in the day, without a car, three hundred miles from home, and no telephone, I walked out of Ziegler's.

    I emailed about car and was told it was still there to come on in and see it. On cars.com and on the dealers website they had the same description of car.... That it was AUTOMATIC transmission. Well when I arrived it was a manual transmission. I told the rep he checked the system and all he can tell me was they will have to correct that online.

    I've told them that I will pay the full amount, we had discussed price and expenses. After I brought a certified check for what we had discussed it appeared... that they had increased the numbers, out of nowhere, there is a 900 inspection charge a 2500 PRO PACK not optional protection package in expenses where nobody could truly clarify before, that after they knew I want it.

    LET THE BUYER BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! Wish I had read all the reviews instead of thier overall rating. Maybe they have a good service department. Called... and spoke to Kyle about price and availability of a used car on thier site as it would be a 5 hour round trip for us. Yes it is here and that is the right price. It did seem like a good deal, but it was within $900 of the same vehicle we drove at another dealer. We get there, like the vehicle, and get down to numbers. Now all of a sudden there is a 900 inspection fee (its not a CPO) a 2500 not optional protection package and an addition 600 in fees no one could really explain. The only fair fees were 300 gov which is accurate to what my state charges. None of this 4k is can be declined so why wasn't it in the original asking price!! We felt they were running a good cop bad cop scenario as well. Salesman, "I want you to be happy but these business guys..." Back and forth with salesman going to another room without us for an hour and a half. Reputable dealers don't have to hide negotiations behind a closed door. After our experience we went to Bergstrom group in Wisconsin the following weekend and we bought a newer completely redesigned version of the same vehicle with 5k added pkgs and tons of added safety and convenience features thier vehicle did not have for 1k less than Zeigler's final offer. Totally different experience with upfront pricing so everyone gets a good deal, zero pressure from sales and then zero pressure from finance to add anything to our loan. Seems like Ziegler is counting on people who don't know the worth of the car thier shopping for. Please know exactly what you should pay for your used car if you decide to go there and walk out if they won't make it happen. They are the reason used car salesmen get a bad rap and there are more ethical dealers out there. Oh also received an email from thier GM Ken about my experience and laid all this out for him and no big surprise he didn't bother to respond. Received one from Kyle as well and yet when we left obviously pissed at having our entire Saturday wasted with slimy tactics no one came over. I do have to thank them though. Had they been more fair and honest in pricing I would not have the newer, better, dimple and scratch free ride I do!
