RUN!!
I was prepared to go look at a 2007 GMC yukon xl Denali with 185,000 miles. From the website, the vehicle looked to be really well maintained and had no major defects. I called ahead before driving to see the yukon that was 3 hours away, and Al the owner had assured me that nothing was wrong with the car. I had asked specifically, " Do all the option work, like heated seats, radio, dvd player?" Upon arrival, you can't even pull into the lot due to there being too many vehicles on his lot, so I pulled around back. I come inside and it smells like mildew covered up with candles. The girl at the front was very nice and asked if I was going to take it for a test drive. She took my license and made a copy. Al comes out from back and is rushed and doesn't say hi or greet me. He unlocks car with remote and walks out to start it up. No one tells me anything about it. They just hand me keys and go inside. I open the front door, and the doors have no grease, so they're popping a squeaking terribly. The rear window wouldn't roll down unless you used front controls. My wife went to open rear passenger side door, and the handle LITERALLY came off. The rear wiper was entirely missing, no arm or anything. The car had rust in 2 areas on body. Despite this, I took it down the road to see if I could find anything nice about it. It ran great and had tons of power and everything felt tight, but when I came to stop light, I could feel a slight murmur in engine. This whole trip could have been avoided if Al had told me the car was defective and NOT in good running order. How can a business run trying to sell someone a car like this?? Do not be gullible and buy from this dealer.
