However, there is a massive difference between credit costs and blatant dealer exploitation. 1. The Fee Trap: HGreg forced me into a $1,700 "Elite Protection Package." Salesperson Bill claimed it was mandatory corporate policy. The next day, Bill bragged about selling a $70,000 car and admitted he waived that exact fee for that buyer. Forcing junk fees on vulnerable buyers while waiving them for high-ticket clients is unacceptable. 2. GAP Markup: Finance packed a $1,300 GAP charge onto my loan. Meanwhile, HGreg’s own in-house insurance agent quoted me the exact same coverage for just $15 for 6 months ($2.50/mo). Padding a $13,000 car with $3,000 in artificial fees creates the very negative equity they claim to protect you from. 3. Failed Inspection: HGreg markets a "multi-point inspection," yet vehicle prep was awful. The car smelled like smoke because the cabin filter was pitch black, clogged, and contained an old cigar wrapper. They couldn't even change a basic filter. 4. Forced 5-Star Review: Before handing over my keys, I was heavily pressured by the salesperson to leave a 5-star Google review on my phone right in front of him. True 5-star service is earned through transparency, not demanded as a condition of getting your car. Advice to Buyers: If you are trapped, just sign. These $3,000 add-ons are NOT conditions of loan approval. Check the back pages of the Elite and GAP contracts for the "Cancellation" clause. Bypass the dealer entirely and submit a written cancellation directly to the third-party providers. I did this in week one, wiping $3,000 off my loan principal. Know your rights.

HGreg.com Orlando is straight up shady. They bait you with low prices online just to get you in the door, but those prices mean nothing. The moment you try to get real numbers, they dodge you and refuse to give you the out-the-door price because they want to force you to come in. I live far and made it clear I already had financing ready. All I needed was the final number. They kept running me in circles and wouldn’t give it. I still made the trip—and the car wasn’t even there. After wasting my time driving out there for a specific car, they tell me it’s not available and immediately try to push me into buying something else. That’s not just unprofessional, that’s straight-up deceptive. Then they hit you with a bunch of xx fees to jack up the price—$1,299 “pre-delivery service fee,” “elite protection plan,” and other add-ons nobody asked for. They just stack thousands of dollars on top of the advertised price. Everything about this place feels like a scam. Fake pricing, hidden fees, and wasting people’s time just to pressure them into buying something else. Stay away from this dealership.
