Went to test drive a car on a Saturday and worked with William. He told me he would be back on Tuesday so I sent him an offer and never heard back. I emailed Matt the manager early on Wednesday an offer then William miraculously writes back saying he can offer the car at a higher price. I said ok I will accept your offer. He then comes back and said the sold the car already. I call him back he said he was out all day and didn’t see my offer. Then I ask to speak with Matt the manager and he says William was actually there on Tuesday but can not take care of multiple clients at once. Matt also said his dealership is to busy to respond to people who do not offer full price right away. I would stay away from this dealership and especially William and Matt as they are to busy to take care of people. Other dealerships do care about the customer experience but no Volvo of Westport

A fun car buying experience.

I purchased a car listed on cars.com from Volvo Cars Westport entirely through e-mail, phone calls and texts. The entire transaction took nearly two months. The sales consultant, Mike Caratone, provided excellent service from start to finish. Dealing with Mike and Volvo Cars Westport was actually fun and I feel like I got a great deal on a great car. Thank you!

Competent but pricey service.

We were originally quoted $400 for a new battery -- without any detailed information from the diagnostic used to determine the condition of the "old" battery. I quickly found a nearby dealer that would do the same replacement for $300, which Volvo of Westport matched without arguement. This is still a very high price for a new battery, which can be had online for under $230., and even less for a same-spec, non-Volvo-branded battery. This kind of aggressive pricing does not build customer confidence... I am very likely to investigate other local options for our service needs in the future. The service advisors were great to work with, and I give them high marks for politeness and professionalism.

Recent service

Service manager Kent was excellent. Very clear with the work to be done and had arranged a loaner car so I could do other things while the work was performed on the car. Very happy and will continue to service my vehicle there.

I sent a close friend here recently for service and he had a great experience. He's not too internet savvy but asked me to leave the review on his behalf since he had such an outstanding experience. The dealership is also undergoing some construction now - seems like a big update/upgrade is being worked on, excited to see how it looks with the refresh.

Do not trust these guys, liars, rip off scammers

Do not assume that the service department at Volvo of Westport will honor their word. Get everything in writing, and look at the print out. For a big job you might want to get a lawyer to review the work order. Do not trust these guys.
