My wife’s alternator went out. I took it to the shop because it was right next to my apartment. They called me on the phone after doing the 140 diagnostic to tell me it needed a new battery, alternator, and was “way overdue” for an oil change. It was just over 3000 miles since the last oil change, which was full synthetic. Toyota recommends 10000 mile intervals and most mechanics will recommend 6-8k with full synthetic. The brand new battery was completely shot, and it needed a new alternator. The quote was for 1500 dollars. I went to the shop to ask about it, they told me the battery was internally shorted. Autozone and my other mechanic both tested it and say it’s fine. They wanted to charge 400 dollars for a battery replacement which is absurd. For a remanufactured alternator, they were charging over 400 dollars, just for the part. At autozone you can’t find one for more than 230. This should’ve been a 500-700 job and they are charging double to triple that. They also lied to me about properly testing the battery and charging 100 for an oil change far more frequently than is necessary. Once they started the repair, I’m sure they would’ve found faulty pulleys and changed those out as well for a premium profit. After I posted the above Google review, they also lied in response in an attempt to discredit me.

Got a Like New Vehicle Worry free!

This is my new favorite auto shop for my new Prius. I bought a 2013 Prius from them and they were great every step of the way. The car was even better in person than as advertised and ran like new! Coming home from overseas, I was very cautious about buying a car, but was ready to buy two once I got to the business and test drove the vehicles. I went on test drives with the owner (Mark) who, like all of the staff, is very honest and puts customers first. Auto evaluators even did additional work on the car right before I came to pick it up, replacing all 4 tires for free!!! I was able to drive off of the lot stress free! (I legit almost cried tears of joy driving off the lot.) Also, shout out to Bree who is stellar at the front desk! She was very patient, professional, and knowledgeable. Everyone there is friendly, honest, and professional. Highly recommend! (About 2 weeks later my car is still driving like new!) Travelled from Illinois to go here and will gladly be doing it again!

ChefH

I bought a 2011XC70 a little over a year ago from Auto Evaluators . Started having problems about 90 days later. Have had way too many issues since purchase. Have put $2300 into the car as of this posting. Took it back with the first problem and got a list of pending codes. They are very eager to fix everything. Wish they would of been so enthusiastic when it came to fixing a few things before the sale.
