New Genesis

Time Wasting Service!

First of all, I am a loyal Hyundai customer for more than 6 years. I only go to the dealerships for my vehicle services. The front desk of this service place keep calling using this number 301-670-4800 and keep harassing me and my girlfriend after leaving a negative comment for their internal survey. They are demanding me to give them a 5-star review. I even have the voice messages from them. Bought my car from this location few months ago, my first service was scheduled 28thSep21. Very disorganized service location. First of all the only time slot available for service was 3:30pm for the next 2-3 weeks. And when you go there on time, the receptionist will tell you that their technicians are leaving soon. They will ask you to leave the car but they are not providing a loaner. After an unfinished service I got my car with dirty tools inside. I called them to finish the service and talked to a service rep and scheduled it for another week day at 1100am. When you go there the receptionist told that the service is done and they cant take the car. Somehow after several back and forth they took the car eventually. Until today my issue still exists and I do not want to go to that dealership again. They are wasting valuable time. Very disappointing service! My worst experience ever!


Great salesperson, and great dealership

For the first time in my car buying experience I did not have to spend hours in the dealership. Farshad Anvari was excellent in dealing with us. I was provided excellent service without unnecessary time wasting. Very happy experience.


Nice at first. Big walk backs right at signing

Fitzgerald made last-minute major takeaways exactly when we were about to sign. We came for the advertised dealer’s "Certified Pre-owned Warranty" that only dealers can provide (it's an odd thing about the non-transferable portion of the Hyundai factory warranty; most other car manufacturers don't work this way). We picked out our car (specifically asking about the warranty several times), did a test drive, and made sure everybody in the family liked it. We did not haggle even a little bit. We were excited and made an appointment to provide a check and buy the car. The next business day, at the very last moment, with our checkbook out, they said, "Oh, there is this outstanding trunk latch recall on the car, so we won't provide a CPO warranty for the car." Nor would they provide a discount for the valuable warranty they just walked back on. I believe they saw my family there, excited to get a new (used) car, and thought they could squeeze us out of the warranty. We had to walk away. That was a week ago. Today, I checked back with them to see if they had resolved anything; they restated the recall story – but, now the manager and salesman are very angry with us because we called Hyundai Corporate to ask about the situation and Fitzgerald had to spend a lot of time on that (I don’t know why). Other Hyundai dealers have said Fitzgerald's story about a trunk latch recall is bizarre; that a Hyundai dealer can sell the car with the warranty and correct the recall repair when the parts are available. According to them, this was a last-second grab after Fitzgerald thought we had "mentally bought the car". To clarify, Fitzgerald will not make the repair and they will not sell the car with the CPO warranty; nevertheless - this exact car and VIN number is STILL LISTED AND ADVERTISED today on the Fitzgerald website as being sold with the "Hyundai Certified Pre-owned Warranty"! Bait and switch. Is this a one-off event? It is not; the salesman told us, point blank, he had done this recently, two times before, and the customers went ahead and bought the car from him without the warranty and he encouraged us to do the same. I don't mind negotiating, but when people are slippery with the truth and deceptive, it really bothers me. So... don't believe the no haggle, no hassle guarantee talk they advertise on all their TV commercials. We did not haggle, but they do! What a hassle. It's unfortunate.

Recently purchased a Palisade here…Evan in sales was great to work with and the employees genuinely seemed happy which definitely makes for a better experience…highly recommended!


Do Not Buy Hyundai do to Severe Paint Peeling

came here 4 weeks ago with a corporate claim number for paint failure on my 2015 White Sonata. This is a well known defect on this year and color of Sonata and there was even a class action lawsuit. The body shop took pictures and claimed they would submit the pictures to corporate to further the claim. I called the body shop 2 weeks later with no update. I called last week and they stated it was submitted to the proper person for processing. Today they stated my claim was denied because of the year and mileage of my vehicle. When I initially called corporate to make my claim, they stated the year and mileage did not matter because they were aware of the issue. This is unacceptable. A 2015 vehicle should not have paint peeling from the hood and roof. Do not buy Hyundai products because they will literally shed paint within a few years.

Great Sales Experience

Evan Fabish was terrific. I visited the dealership three times in the process of buying my new Hyundai Palisade. When I was ready to make the purchase, Evan had located the color I wanted and made arrangements to have it transferred. Most of the paperwork was ready for me when I arrived. Evan was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and was very engaged in the selection process. He went through a very thorough checklist before I drove off so that I would understand all of the features. I highly recommend Evan and the dealership.


My New Car Buying Experience

Matthew Brown gave exceptional service. Made arrangements for my car to be brought from a repair shop for trade-in. Was very patient in explaining features of the Elantra and answering my questions. On a scale of one to five, Matthew Brown is a 10!
