Avoid at all costs

Avoid Carmax at all costs, they will avoid assisting you after purchasing whenever possible. I bought a vehicle from Carmax recently. Soon after buying it, I noticed that the tires had a tendency to deflate. I called Carmax asking that they address this, and the representative specifically informed me that they would address this tire issue per my vehicle’s warranty on. They scheduled a service appointment so that this tire issue would be addressed. After calling ahead of this appointment, Carmax told me they would not honor this agreement they had made, and would not address the tire issue. So now I am stuck paying for a tire repair out of pocket because this company that had been promised to me.

CarMax certified? What does that mean?

Very disappointed to find that the Black V60 T5 Dyanamic wagon that was brought in from Pharr Texas was so damaged on the paint, there did not appear to be one panel on the car that was not scratched and then very poorly touched up, some areas on the hood were scratched down to the metal and then covered up with touch up paint. We paid $300.00 to have the car brought to the Denton store, we were told that they could have their own 3rd party painter come in and try to repair, when asked though, they flatly stated that the repairs would not be warrantied. A Black vehicle in Texas that has the clear coat compromised will certainly not look great for long, can you say that wonderful peeling look? While waiting at the dealership, the ads running on the TVs showed the great CarMax Certification process, I guess I have to question that with the certification of condition on this vehicle and the lack of a really good alternative solution, how can one trust your "certification"?

Not as advertised.

Chose buy from service at their Denton location only to be misled and ignored. No follow up until the very last minute. Then to be given excuses, disrespected and then have the sale terminated when you involve their corporate office.

Take responsibility and make it right. Misleading a customer does not help CarMax and canceling service as retaliation for calling corporate doesn’t make the issue disappear.
