I purchased a car in May of 2024.

I purchased a car in May of 2024. I have now had to have it serviced over 4 times within the last year due to maintenance issues that should have been addressed when I purchased the car. The service department refuses to honor any sort of warranty and tried to charge me almost $1,000 battery harness repair and vehicle diagnostic check as I haven't had working air conditioning in the middle of a summer heat wave. Paid $220 for them to tell me what needed fixed.........it's very disappointing to see that these vehicle service employee as well as "highly recommended" car dealerships are still taking advantage of people and their money.

***BUYER BEWARE***BUYER BEWARE***BUYER BEWARE***BUYER BEWARE*** BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS DEALER. I FOUND A CAR ON THEIR WEBSITE LISTED AT $28,000 AND WHEN I INQUIRED I WAS TOLD IT WAS A PRICING MISTAKE. I HAVE A HARD COPY PRINTOUT OF IT TO SUPPORT, THE STATED PRICE. I WAS THEN TOLD IT WAS DEALER INVOICE AND PRICE WAS $34,750. IF YOU LOOK AT THE WEBSITE TODAY IT IS NOW #32,693. IN LESS THAN A WEEKS TIME, I HAVE SEEN THREE DIFFERENT PRICES FOR THE SAME VEHICLE. THEN WHEN I STATED I WAS NO LONGER INTERESTED, I WAS TOLD THEY TOOK TIME AWAY FROM THEIR FAMILY TO RESPOND TO YOUR INQUIRIES. THIS WAS SOMETHING YOU CHOSE TO DO AS A DEALERSHIP EMPLOYEE AND WAS APPRECIATED UNTIL THE PRICING STARTED CHANGING, YET THEY STATED THEY STILL WANTED MY BUSINESS AND I WOULD NOT BE TREATED ANY BETTER BY ANYONE ELSE. EVEN GAS PRICES CHANGE BUT NOT THIS OFTEN. PROCEED WITH CAUTION HERE.

Don't go to this dealership, especially not to service

Don't go to this dealership, especially not to service your car. They will try to sell you on services and parts your car doesn't need. They attempted to charge me hundreds for an OEM car battery to run a test that Subaru of America confirmed they should do on my current battery as is. Stereotypical dealership trying to scam people they think they can make money off of, but worse that they tried to violate a warranty from Subaru of America in the process. To top it off their customer service was very poor and every employee there seemed miserable and very rude.

Top of the Class!

The best car buying experience ever. Took the time to review numbers and vehicle features! My sales person truly cared about my happiness and that I was fully informed through out the whole process. I will definitely be referring friends and family here!

This place will scam you beware!

My wife bought a used car here. They took advantage of her with extra fees and charges. They supposedly did a 135 point inspection however, not even driving the car 500 miles the engine light came on and it turns out the fuel pump was bad and needs replaced. It is evident by the gas mileage that the pump needed replaced before driving off the lot, however my wife doesn't know anything about cars and didn't realize it until the light came on. They also said they did $4500 worth of work on the car but did not disclosed what they did. They made us pay out of pocket for the repair because somehow the $3500 warranty we bought didn't cover a fuel pump replacement. Spoke to their head sales manager Kyle and he basically said we are S.O.L. and ended the message with a sarcastic "Cheers!". Talk about being unprofessional and shady. I filed a complaint already, I don't know if anything will come of it. Just don't go here, it's shady. They justify their charges by claiming quality assurance on the vehicle you purchased but it's just a scam. They take advantage of you bad and literally laugh at you when you complain. Find another dealership, hopefully their corrupt business practices will catch up with them.

I haven't yet taken delivery of my new Subaru from

I haven't yet taken delivery of my new Subaru from McCarthy, so some might say this review is premature. However, I have come to terms as far as numbers (over the phone nonetheless) for a new Subaru Outback from McCarthy Subaru of Lawrence. Jerry Jordan went out of his way to make this a good experience for my wife and me. I feel the need to add that this review is being made by a person who sold new cars for more than seven years. He was upfront, personable, and more importantly, didn't play games or make me jump through hoops for a good deal. In this tight buying market, that's a refreshing break from the other dealerships that I reached out to. I would highly recommend McCarthy Subaru of Lawrence, and more specifically, Jerry Jordan! You'll be glad you did! I know that I am happy that I was fortunate enough to have him as our salesperson!

They went above and beyond. We had to travel a bit to get to them but it was worth it. We had the BEST experience with McCarthy Subaru and would 100% consider them in the future.
