The service team informed me that my battery was failing

The service team informed me that my battery was failing their test and should be replaced right away. The battery was 6 months old and had been installed by a shop in SW Mpls. I took it back to that shop where it was tested again and found to be in perfect condition. I called Luther to complain and was told that their tests don't really work on non-Subaru batteries. In other words, they would have been more than happy to replace my perfect good battery for $320 simply because they don't know how to test non-Subaru batteries. This is essentially fraud and they should be called out for it. Do not trust them. Ever. I received an email from Lisa the service manager asking how my service was. I explained this situation to her. She never bothered to respond.

They have a Express Service which I had used in the past

They have a Express Service which I had used in the past which was good but not great due to the time. I went in for a Express oil change on the 25 and was told it could be 2 and a half hours. I left immediately. Exceptionally poor management for not managing wait times. I have a new dealer that provided a very good “Express” service. My new goto.

Brendan blew my expectations of Car Sales out of the

Brendan blew my expectations of Car Sales out of the water. He was very patient and kind, and willing to price match. It did not feel like I was negotiating with a car salesman but rather with a buddy that was also looking to help me land a good deal on a car. Never once did I feel rushed during this process, nor did I feel pressured into making a decision. A month later and I am still very pleased with my purchase. I am very happy with Brendan and the Luther team, and I highly recommend using them in the future.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. My Dad came here on the 26th to check out a car. The car was meant for my mom and he came with a friend to check it out first. He also put down a deposit to hold the car. Today, the 28th, I came with my parents. My mom took a look at the car and we knew it was rusting around various places. The sales person we were supposed to talk to was Jared Oxborough. We were told he would be waiting for us but didn't meet him until 30 minutes later. When we got the time to chat with him after he came to meet us, we told him the car had rust and he literally told us it was rail dusts not rust and can be easily buffed out. I then told him the car was for my mom and my dad came the other day without her. Upon seeing the car and the various rusted parts she disliked it so we're probably changing our mind. The moment I said those words he frowned at us and suddenly his tone of voice changed and asked, "Why? Do you know I held it for two days? I had many people inquiring about it! Do you know how frustrating this is? Why would I hold it if you're not going to buy it?!" I apologized multiple times and said I understand but it simply wasn't to our expectations for a 2017 and he asked us what we expected of a used 2017 car. He then said he'll be back since he needs to talk with someone. Didn't bother to mention our refund regarding the deposit or anything. He just disappeared after that and went to help someone else. He brought the other customer into his cube and left us in the lobby to which he would constantly glance over at us. He would also constantly walk back and forth in front of us but not speak or look at us. As a first time customer, that was a rude first impression, never had I encounter such a rude salesperson. I got fed up with his childish attitude - my 4 year old daughter acts like this - so I left to the front desk and talked to the Lady up at the front about the issue. Honestly, the manager was such a fresh breath of air. I forgot his name, but he was so understanding, even said that the "rail dusts" were indeed rusts, and said it's okay if we didn't want the car he'll just give us our refund back. All in all, I will not be coming here again and won't be recommending any of my friends/families to come here, but if you do stay clear of certain people.

2 and a half hours for Express Service.

2 and a half hours for Express Service. Waste of my time and I will NEVER bring my vehicle to a Luther dealership again, I actually called and asked but was told "No, you don't need an appointment" When you use the word "express" you would think they looked it up or had some idea as to it's meaning. Not a hint of intelligence here.

I love the car.

I love the car.. had an absolutely terrible experience. I don’t wish this day on anyone when they buy a car. When I was financing at the bank I chose, I sent the sales individual a message asking for the purchase agreement with a picture of the bank lender’s business card. Normally, someone would know what this means and what to do with this information. The sales person sent me a detailed invoice instead (which ended up being for the wrong amount). I asked for the purchase agreement again.. no purchase agreement was sent. It was only until I got them on the phone (over two hours later) did they “realize” I was using an outside bank and wanted the actual purchase agreement. I had to point out the time I sent the text asking for the purchase agreement. First their response was “yes I saw it”. Then later their response was “I don’t always see my messages”. It was beyond incredibly frustrating. The bank employee and I wasted so much time. I wish my sales person had known what they were doing. When I got back to the dealership and signed the papers, the sales person told me my next step was to go to the finance manager, so I did. That was apparently the wrong thing to do as the finance manager was incredibly condescending, talked to me as if I was a child, and told me to go back to the salesperson’s desk. I did not feel welcome nor like I was a valued customer. I went back to the sales person’s desk for them to tell me that “there’s a process” - One I was trying to follow. I then overheard the finance manager say how much of a deal they were making off my sale. I felt even more uncomfortable. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough!! They won’t get my business ever again.

I bought my first Subaru gently used from a non-Subaru

I bought my first Subaru gently used from a non-Subaru dealership. There were a few minor things that needed to be addressed so I brought it to the Subaru dealership closest to my house. SkyLynn happened to be my service advisor for that first appointment and just crushed it from the start. Since my first experience I've had it back for maintenance a few additional times. Each time I simply text SkyLynn and she has responded very quickly, even a few times where she was not working, just to tell me she was away but would follow up when back in the office. Absolutely every experience I've had with SkyLynn has been exceptional. I am in the technical service industry as well and have always felt I am an ambassador for my company and the experience a customer has with me, significantly impacts their view of our company. This is true with my experience with SkyLynn; her professionalism and empathy for her customers reflects very highly on Bloomington Subaru as a whole! You are very fortunate to have such a wonderful employee in SkyLynn! Thanks, and I'm now a Subaru lover and customer of Bloomington Subaru for life thanks to the positive experiences I continue to have with SkyLynn and your service department

Called this dealer to look at a used 2012 Hyundai Sonata

Called this dealer to look at a used 2012 Hyundai Sonata and spoke with Al in sales. We test drove the car and were discussing a few minor issues with it and a potential sale. Al said it was being sold as is with no warranty because the car was too old, but the web listing for this specific vehicle from their website at that time indicated it had their Luther Advantage used guarantee program on it which gives the buyer 5 days and up to 500 miles to return a vehicle and a comprehensive and extended warranty on used vehicles. Their website on page https://www.bloomington-acura.com/luther-advantage/ also says "The Luther Advantage comes included with every new and used vehicle lease or purchase! Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions." There are no indicated disclaimers on this page. We looked and did note that some other cars that were in their inventory on their website did indicate they were sold as is with no warranty, but this specific car had the Luther Advantage statement. When I asked where it stated that this specific car was "as is", Al left briefly and returned with a print out that included the As Is disclaimer, but at the top of the page it indicated that the car was a 2014 Ford and not the Hyundai we were looking at. We promptly left the dealer at that point and will not return. They should have honored their own listing even if a mistake was made. I simply do not trust this dealer and definitely don't trust Al after this experience. Interestingly enough we did end up purchasing a car from another Luther owned dealership across town. It was a 2011 Kia Optima that did come with the Luther Advantage warranty. I found it ironic that a 2012 Hyundai was too old to have this guarantee but a 2011 Kia wasn't.

Well organized, professional dealership.

Well organized, professional dealership. Tony the sales rep, and the business manager (sorry, forgot his name) didn’t waste my time with any of superfluous stuff. Very good experience.
