Pee Wee Cray's Fairly Reliable Used Cars Hours
In 1989 I took a job at the age of 23 selling new GMC trucks for Buz Post GMC . On the 2nd day at work they said I wasn?t Kevin anymore, I was Pee Wee and I?ve been Pee Wee ever since. By 1991 I had been moved to Pre-owned and realized I liked the buying and wholesale side of the car business . Since 1992 I have bought thousands of cars for franchised new car dealers in the DFW area , and continue to do so .
ln 1991 my wife and I were married in Weatherford and we?re still here . We?ve raised two sons and made lots of friends along the way. Our friends and family , and my old customers and some of their friends have always called asking for me to find their next vehicle . This circle became bigger as the years went on but because I work auto auctions all over the country it was difficult . My oldest son Zach grew up around the wholesale car business and while he earned his degree in Business from Oklahoma State , couldn?t shake the urge to be in the family business .
So we decided to put together another little car lot . I do the Buying , he does the selling . In today?s world of the internet , there are no secrets . The value of a particular car is out there for everyone to see . We have a super low overhead and my job is to use my experience and nationwide network to buy the best possible car at the best price . Then to sell that car at the fairest price possible with the least amount of wear and tear on us (and you).
So that?s pretty much our story , the ?fairly reliable ? part is poking fun at the stereotypical used car dealer . But it makes everyone here in town smile , so I?ll keep it.

"Family Owned, Family Operated"
Shopping USAA’s car buying service/True Car we found a great price on a 2017 Armada Platinum at Pee Wee Cray’s Fairly Reliable Used Cars. A name like that... gets your attention (makes you wonder is this guy for real?) But reason tells you that only a trustworthy person could operate under a tongue-in-cheek business name like that. Read the About Us page on his website. Everything stated we found to be true - family operation, fair treatment, no surprises - great experience. Even drinks and Netflix for our kids during paperwork. Because we live 80 miles away, the general manager and Pee Wee’s son Zach graciously agreed to meet us halfway for a test drive on a week night. He didn’t have to do that, but that touch definitely helped us settle on this purchase. While completing the paperwork at their dealership a couple days later, I saw Pee Wee’s very well-worn Bible on a table in a side room. For my wife and I, this reassured our trust in the transaction. When we were done, I asked if he searches for specific cars on request. He pointed to a white board with a list of vehicles he’s currently hunting for customers. I will definitely check in with him next time I’m shopping.
