🚨 Public Review: Hanlees Hilltop GMC 🚨 Posted May 2025 I purchased a 2023 GMC Acadia from Hanlees Hilltop GMC in November 2023, and I am now publicly documenting my experience due to unresolved and highly concerning issues. From the beginning, I was assisted by Alex Lafour and Paul Galassi, and finalized paperwork with Gerry Kuong in Finance. I brought up concerns almost immediately after purchase when I was unable to secure insurance coverage for the vehicle. My VIN would not populate in any insurance or DMV system — and still doesn’t. I left multiple voicemails over several months, specifically requesting to speak with the General Manager. None were returned. In hindsight, I now realize the first red flag should have been when they made me sign a document stating that my front license plate was already installed on the vehicle — when it wasn’t. I was told it was being installed “as we speak,” only to later see it sitting on the dashboard. When I called to inquire about it, no one followed up. The situation has now escalated. My registration says “year first sold: 0000” The VIN is unrecognizable by every major insurance company I am unable to pull my own Carfax report — it registers as invalid And most critically: I was recently the victim of a hit-and-run accident, and because this dealership sold me a vehicle that can’t be insured, I have no way to repair it or file a valid claim As of today, I remain financially bound to a vehicle I cannot insure, cannot trade in, and cannot register properly. This review is being cross-posted across Google, Yelp, Facebook, and all dealer platforms for visibility, as I move forward with legal consultation. This is not a slanderous accusation — this is a timeline of facts. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle here, I urge you to triple-check all registration, VIN documentation, and Carfax visibility before signing. What happened to me should not happen to anyone else.

The buying process went so fast, but follow up - no good
The buying process went so fast, but follow up - no good customer service. I haven’t bought a car in over 15 years and I’m 70 years old so I’m kind of slow thinking now but I feel the salesman just bulldozed through the whole financing process without letting me think on them. Especially the optional choices. And then the person who was helping with the car itself didn’t bring it to my attention that a part covering the passenger mirror was missing when i called the next day Hector said he would work on it. I’ve been texting him for 2 1/2 weeks and same response, he’s working on it and please be patient. I’m meeting with the Sales Manager tomorrow who seems like he wants to help me to resolve this. Maybe there’s hope with the Sales Manager, other than that, don’t think I’ll recommend this dealer.

Employees were helpful and friendly.
Employees were helpful and friendly. It did take awhile to get the car serviced. Besides that, everything else was great.
