I’m writing this review out of frustration and concern
I’m writing this review out of frustration and concern for how my 2020 Ram 1500 has been handled by the service department at Route 130 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. If you’re considering bringing your vehicle here for service, I strongly suggest you think twice. I first brought my truck in back in January 2025, when they diagnosed an oil leak but never actually repaired it. Fast forward to June 2025, I checked my oil level and found the dipstick completely dry — not a good sign for any engine. I brought it back in, and they “fixed” it (again), or so I thought. Just yesterday (June 27th), my truck began shaking violently, shut itself off, displayed multiple warning alerts, and turned on the check engine light. It’s clearly still not right, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the oil leak is ongoing. What really bothers me is that both times I brought my truck in, it sat there for about a week, only for me to experience serious engine issues shortly after each visit. Communication was basic at best — I was just told when it was ready and what had been done. There was no follow-up or thorough explanation. The real issue is this: every time I bring my truck in, it gets worse. I barely drive it — it’s a weekend vehicle — yet somehow, it’s developing major problems far too often for a relatively new truck. I shouldn’t be worried about the longevity of a 2020 Ram that’s lightly used, but here we are. I haven’t escalated this to the service manager yet, but frankly, at this point, I believe it’s an issue for upper management or even ownership. I’m now seriously considering towing my truck to another dealership because I don’t trust Route 130’s service department to touch it again. If anyone is reading this — do not bring your truck here for service. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. It’s frustrating, disappointing, and downright unacceptable. I hope someone in management sees this and takes it seriously, because this situation needs to be fixed — and my truck does too.

Kevin Dunn – route130chryslerdodgejeep In 2020 I
Kevin Dunn – route130chryslerdodgejeep In 2020 I purchased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee at route130chryslerdodgejeep. That was a great car buying experience. Without much luck, I have been looking to purchase a second Jeep Grand Cherokee for some months. I was looking for a jeep that had pretty specific features. I had been searching all the usual web sites, including that of the route 130 dealership. Out of the blue, Kevin Dunn called me expressing a desire to acquire my 2020 jeep (which only has 38000 miles). When all was said and done, I found myself purchasing a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee with all the features I had been looking for, and at the price was willing to pay. Kevin, the Sales managers and finance were easy to work with. That’s what I call a great buying experience.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.
If I could give 0 stars, I would... I have to give you a little bit of background with this dealership. I had a horrible experience buying the car back in 2021 and spent several weeks getting things done properly - I was sent home at first because the salesman didn't realize that I could trade in my Ford Escape, I was sent on my test drive by myself, never got an intro to my new car, an issue with the Jeep Wave, insurance changeover, car seat covers. Now to the present... My battery needed to be replaced, and my AC wasn't working. I called back on April 21 to make an appointment to get it repaired. I got an appointment for May 1. My husband spoke with the technician and was told that it was probably a sensor issue. I dropped my car off Thursday (5/1/25) afternoon and was thinking I would hear from the service department by Saturday afternoon. I called at 4:10 and was told that the technician in charge of my car's repairs was not in that day. There was no way to look anything up, and there were no answers. I was told that I would get a call some time on Monday. My husband called to get more info. He discovered that no one had even done anything with the car - that is the assumption since there are no notes in the system. No one can answered any of our questions. They keep defaulting back to, "Well the technician isn't in today." I understand having a smaller staff on weekends, but why bother with an appointment if you're just going to hold my car for 2.5 days? So I have no answers, a lot of frustration, no car, and no way to get to work on Monday. Is this normal procedure? I'm going to get charged for 2.5 plus days of work when nothing has been done? I have normally not had issues with the service department, but the handling of this was unacceptable. No one even contacted me to let me know what was going on. I was the one who had to initiate the contact. I was supposed to get a phone call upon Rob's arrival for an update, and I still haven't heard anything. I am now 4 days without my car. I called and left a message with Joe Gore, someone that helped me the many issues I had in 2021. Have not heard from him - maybe he's not there anymore? I left a similar review on Google and got a response from Ms. White (the person contacting me in an attempt to get me to pull the review). This was on Monday. Still - NOTHING. I called and left a message with the service department 9:42 am, even though I was told that Rob - the technician would call me first thing up his arrival at 9:00 am. I called again and spoke to someone. They went to ask what happened, and she said they hadn't gotten to my car. I was then FINALLY able to talk to to the technician. The car hadn't been touched for 4 DAYS with a scheduled appointment. He told me that they're understaffed and each tech has 5-10 cars to do. I asked why bother for reservations then? No answer. Why couldn't you just be transparent about the situation, and then I could have had a plan? No answer. Why do I have to chase you to get information about MY car? He informed me that he wouldn't be getting to my car that day. I told him not to touch the car and have it ready for me to pick it up after work. Later that day, I missed a call. When I called back to explain the issues, the woman asked if she could look into it and get back to me. She confirmed that Rob had not touched the car. Someone did a diagnostic and gave a list of things that needed repair, and they didn't know how long it would take. I told her to have the car ready for me to pickup after work, and I wouldn't pay for a thing. In stark contrast, I took my car to EG Tire and Auto in Dayton, NJ (2276 US-130, Dayton, NJ 08810). We dropped my car off on Thursday afternoon to have the work started on Friday. I got 3 calls in the span of less than 2 hours with updates Friday morning. The car was ready for me to pick up at 8:30 this morning - 5/10/25. Friends - Don't take your car to this dealer!

Very interesting, Ms. White. You commented on my 1 star review on Google. I emailed you on 5/5 and still have NO response. I know all of this is meant to get me to take down my review. I can't, in good consience, lie by omission.

Absolutely the worst experience ever .
Absolutely the worst experience ever . Purchased a 2024 Jeep Cherokee Hybrid here . It was missing charging cable and truck would not charge . A month of calling for help and still no help . Temp registered expired and still no plates . Truck is sitting in garage basically useless like the dealership.

Pater, thank you for sharing your 5-star service experience with us. We look forward to seeing you again.
Giving one star because I can’t give zero.
Giving one star because I can’t give zero. This place has a bunch of crooks. Sold us a car with issues and tried for weeks to get in touch with our sales person and never responded back. They didn’t even want to repair the vehicle and when they finally took a look at it, they wanted to charge us. Super friendly and quick to sell the car but as soon as it was sold they no longer cared about anything. They made their money and then off to the next victim. Please be carefu.
