I see a lot of good reviews for Alabama Carland, however,
I see a lot of good reviews for Alabama Carland, however, My wife and I did not have such luck. Vernessa and Mr. Shake were very accommodating with staying late for us to come pick up the vehicle on July 5,2024. I checked the carfax and everything seemed great with the 2016 Ford Explorer Sport they had on the lot. As it was 8 p.m. I did not feel like having Mr. Shake stay any longer than he already had so we did not drive the car except onto a uhaul trailer for the 4 hr trip back home. Everything seemed good to go on the car. On to the next morning, which was my sons 1st Bday. My wife drove the vehicle across the street to Walmart. Literally not even a 1/8 mile from where we live. Once the party was over, I drove the vehicle about a mile down the road and it skipped and bucked when moderate throttle was applied. I hooked up my scanner and showed Cylinder 3 and 4 misfire. The next day,July 7th, I replaced the spark plugs with the correct motorcraft plugs and vehicle did driver better, No bucking or jumping but there is still a shudder over 20 mph. I Let Vernessa know what was going on with the vehicle on July 6th. She advised to take it and have it diagnosed and they would cover the bill. I called Ed Sherling Ford in Enterprise and first available appt. was on July 17th. The service tech called me yesterday and advised that his transmission tech advised the transmission was pretty close to being done for. I then let Vernessa know what the tech said and she referred me to contact Mr. Shake. I let Mr. Shake know what the tech said and he advised that the vehicle was sold AS IS and there was nothing he could do. This of course was after waiting for 4 hours for him to respond back to me because he was with customers. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I will update my post if anything changes with the dealership.
