Wonderful experience and fast responses. We made the deal over the phone before driving 4 hrs to make a purchase. Highly recommend!

This Went Badly
Dear Fiona, My name is Don XXX, General Manager at Tim Short Autoplex - CDJR - Ford. I first wanted to thank you for your recent visit here. I take personal pride in our involvement here in the community and am committed to my dealership providing high quality, personal service to everyone. You are not just a number here. If there is any reason up to this point that has kept you from purchasing here at Tim Short Autoplex - CDJR - Ford, I want to know. Please reply to this email. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and earning your business. Sincerely, Hi Don, Since you asked the salesman that we dealt with asked if I was looking for a Ford Fiesta or similar. When I expressed an interest in a Mazda 3 he asked if I was perhaps looking for a daughter. When we then asked to test drive a Charger he addressed my husband saying that that car would obviously be for him. When my husband said that we were only looking for a car for me he gave me the keys but said that I should be careful because it's a powerful car and it was starting to rain. It was so blatantly sexist that I laughed out loud. It wouldn't put me off buying a car that I wanted and I may still buy from your company but you need to do better. Women buy cars. They should feel welcomed and respected. Fiona If I came off as offensive or sexist in any way, shape, or form I apologize. That was not my intent, I was only making conversation. I asked the questions about the fiesta & if the mazda3 was for your daughter to best determine the situation and how I could assist you. I mentioned a daughter because as you know now is the time for seniors to graduate from high school, my cousin Priscilla just did so & my grandmother bought my old car for her as a graduation present. Also I mentioned the Challenger has more power than the mazda because obviously it does, it's a bigger engine. I warned you about the rain because muscle cars are mainly rear wheel drive and tend to handle harder in the rain, I only wanted to ensure your safety & our property's safety. So again I apologize if I offended you, that was not my intent. All the Best, Cary Hi Folks, This is not how to apologize. This is a thin attempt to justify bad behavior. When a woman asks to test drive a "muscle car" you abruptly become deeply concerned about her "safety"? I just rolled my eyes so hard I think I sprained my face. Do better. Fiona
