Victor went above and beyond to explain my options, communicate in a timely manner, and put in extra effort to return my car to me in far better shape than I brought it in. Really enjoyed my visits to Honda of Oakland, as I researched and test-drove possible replacements for my last car (that I had for 20 years). Sales associate Robert Shapard was great - informative, personable, and accommodating with his schedule. I chose a 2025 Honda HR-V Sport and I love it! Charlie and Daniel helped move the whole process through completion and then Robert helped me set up some of the car’s tech (which I wasn’t used to). Many thanks!

Typical Bait and Switch.
Typical Bait and Switch. Agreed to the price of the car on the phone. When we drove to the dealership our sales person said that the manager who agreed to that price is not working today and it's a different manager and she's not willing to agree to the previously agreed price. Then they switched and said that they agree to the prices, but you have to purchase $4000 dollars of extra stuff that we don't want or need. It was a very bad experience and left without hesitation. I have only heard stories of experiences like this, but never experienced it myself in the last 30 years. My suggestion to anyone working with this dealership is to get a price quote in writing before you show up. I knew, but I took faith in the sales person word, that I don't need a written quote. Lesson learned, Never ever deal with Honda of Oakland. I would also state that Drake the sales guy did try at least seemed to try to make it work for us but was helpless on what the manager wanted to do.

The salesman Drake and the sales manager Victor went out of their way to help us purchase a car that would suit our needs and the finance manager Charlie really understood his work and made it easy for us to manage the paperwork. We appreciate their efforts and they are one of the best car sales teams that I've met. The entire office seem to be working in unity to assist us in making a purchase. We appreciate their efforts
