Service was good overall, service was understanding with trying to accomplish my needs before leaving on vacation and returned the truck on time. Only concern was that the part replaced may not be the problem, but we shalll see.

I don’t typically write reviews, good or bad, but after
I don’t typically write reviews, good or bad, but after nearly three years of ongoing issues and poor treatment, I feel compelled to share my experience with Merrick Jeep. My situation began with a misleading sales experience. I was scammed into a Jeep Rubicon Extreme Recon by a salesman who was fired before I even took delivery of the vehicle. Despite the dealership’s knowledge of his misconduct, they refused to offer any compensation or resolution. From day one, the vehicle had several manufacturing defects — most notably, bubbling and flaking exterior paint. Over the years, I brought the Jeep back numerous times for this and other issues, including: • Rear subwoofer producing excessive rattling • Tiny chips in the windshield • A nearly detached lug nut on the passenger rear wheel • Loose undercarriage components (still unresolved due to constant excuses) Each visit became more frustrating than the last. At one point, the Jeep was in their possession for two weeks, during which time several personal items were stolen — including cupholder inserts, my good luck charm on the shifters, and $100 in cash hidden in the center console. While they did reimburse me for the cash, the violation of trust was significant. Unfortunately, every time the vehicle went in for repairs, it came back with new problems: • Steering wheel was ripped • Clear coat was burned and swirl marks left throughout the paint from poor buffing • Interior damage to the steering wheel during a repair attempt • Scratches and paint chips all over the exterior • Wax residue permanently damaged rubber seals and black ABS trim Despite the extensive damage caused while in their care, Merrick Jeep has continually deflected responsibility. They’ve repeatedly delayed action, made excuses, and provided misleading or inconsistent explanations. Most recently, they held my Jeep for nearly three months and returned it in worse condition, offering only a small loaner vehicle that didn’t come close to the value of my lease payments. I’ve now had the vehicle for three years and it has only 16,000 miles — largely because it’s spent more time with the dealership than with me. The only person at Merrick Jeep who showed genuine concern and professionalism throughout this ordeal was Malcom in the service department. He consistently treated me with respect and did his best to help, though his efforts were clearly limited by the broader dysfunction at the dealership. As a business owner myself, I understand how vital it is to protect your reputation and treat customers with honesty and integrity. Sadly, Merrick Jeep has failed in every regard. I would strongly urge anyone considering doing business with them to think twice and explore other options.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely regret that your experience with our dealership has led to such frustration and disappointment. While your review is difficult to read, we take all customer concerns seriously and want to address your comments with the care and attention they deserve. We acknowledge that your ownership experience has involved a number of challenges, and while we’ve made every reasonable effort to correct any damage caused during the repair process, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing wear and tear or manufacturer-related issues outside our control. That said, we’ve continuously worked in good faith to resolve your concerns — including reimbursing for missing personal items, providing extended service visits, and dedicating personnel to assist with your vehicle. We’re especially grateful for your recognition of Malcolm, who embodies the level of care we aim to provide each customer. His efforts, along with those of our service team, have been focused on making things right wherever possible. We are still very much willing to assist you further. If there are outstanding concerns we can help with or clarify, we encourage you to reach out directly so we can ensure all options are explored and your questions are answered. -- Rey Gratia Service Manager Merrick Jeep 3614 Sunrise Highway Wantagh, NY 11793 516-623-1850 ext. 1113 www.merrickdodgechryslerjeep.com
Hi Peter, If you would like to discuss further feel free to reach out me. My contact info is listed below and we can discuss your issues. Jason Mascia General Manager 516-868-4400 ext: 1101
Thank you for your response. I appreciate your acknowledgment of the situation and your willingness to continue the dialogue, tho you your self already know about all these issues and the damages your dealership has cause to my vehicle. While I recognize the efforts made by certain team members—particularly Malcolm, whose professionalism has stood out—the overall experience has still fallen short of what I expected. The ongoing issues with my vehicle, coupled with the time and stress involved, have been extremely frustrating. I also want to clarify that my concerns go beyond wear and tear or manufacturer defects, as several problems arose specifically after service visits. That said, I am still open to working toward a resolution. If there is a way to revisit some of the unresolved concerns in a meaningful way, I’m willing to have that conversation. I hope we can find a path forward that reflects a true commitment to customer satisfaction. As for the paint on the entire truck you’ve tried to cut and buff the paint so many times there is no way of bringing this paint back to life. These issues need to be resolved as I have been very understanding and respectful for the past three years that you guys have dragged me around with story after story. Peter.

I hope we can find a path forward that reflects a true commitment to customer satisfaction. I need this resolved asap or reimbursement on my vehicle, I was told to deal directly with Chrysler being you guys can seem to get this corrected and to explain to them how you conduct business, I have proof, bills, documents and many imagines of damages also text and emails all dated back to July 2022, it’s been three years of on going issues. I’d appreciate a response, thank you
Once again, I have received no response—an unfortunate but consistent pattern in how this matter has been handled. My lease is nearing its end, and it’s clear that this issue is still being disregarded, despite ongoing communication attempts. For the past three years, the damage caused to my vehicle while in your care has not been appropriately addressed. I have paid consistently for a vehicle that has been severely compromised both inside and out. This includes: • A torn steering wheel • Extensive swirl marks and burn marks across the paint • Fading rubber and plastic components • Scratched and peeling decals, chipped paint, steel bumpers have white burn marks in them from who ever attempted to cut and buff the entire truck. Subwoofer still rattles after leaving it with you for weeks at a time just to fix a simple problem. These are not just cosmetic issues—they represent permanent damage that cannot be reversed, and significantly diminish the value and condition of my vehicle. Moreover, attempts to conceal the damage with wax have only made the situation worse, as rain continues to reveal the extent of the harm done. At this point, I believe I am owed full compensation for the payments made toward a vehicle that was improperly treated and maintained while in your hands. I have made every attempt to resolve this matter amicably, but it now appears legal action may be necessary, given the complete lack of accountability. I urge you to treat this issue with the seriousness it deserves.
Still no response, you guys damage a customers car and then send an email saying I won’t be charged for any damages when I return it but you guys caused the damages and I don’t want to pay for and drive around in a car that’s destroyed on the inside and outside yet pay full price monthly. Truck looks ratty and I’m very uncomfortable with this truck now and this situation.
