This car dealership is a huge scam. I saw 2003 Corvette with 105,000 miles on it listed for $12,999. I currently own a 2000 Corvette with 127,000 miles on it, so I wanted to trade my car in and spend around $5,000-$7,000 in cash to get the deal done. I used their "Trade-in estimater" on the website, but it just said I have to bring my car in to be evaluated. I called them and asked for an estimate on the phone and they told me that they go off of KBB and normally pay higher than that. So I went on KBB and put in my vehicle in the lowest condition possible to get a baseline. Mind you, my vehicle isn't prestine, but it is far from the lowest teir. The trade-in estimate came to $7,500, so I figured if that was a baseline then we should be able to get a deal done. I got to the dealership and they scanned my license right away and had me sit down. Soon after an employee came over to me and I told them what I was looking to do. They then took my car to be appraised, and I test drove the new car. The new car had alot of cosmetic issues that you would expect to find in a used car. VERY similar condition to my current car. I then sat and waited for over an hour at a desk by myself waiting for the singular "financial manager" to look over everything. Seemed pointless, since I was paying cash, but I patiently waited. They then had me sign some papers BEFORE I even talked pricing. They told me the papers were just confirming that my information was correct, which was very odd and unsettling. Why am I signing documents without even knowing my trade-in estimate??? They finally came over and tried to get me to pay $12,500 as the "out the door" price, and that included an insulting low offer of $3,500 for my car! They threw on a bunch of xx charges, including $999 for theft insurance? I asked them why they were only offering $3,500 for my vehicle since it's in very close condition to they one they are selling, and when the KBB value was $7,500 (and that was the LOWEST of the LOW that KBB said for my vehicle in "fair" condition). He said "Well your car is only worth $2,000 and I was actually helping you out by offering an extra $1,500". I told him "I recently put on 4 GoodYear Racing Tires on my Corvette and the tires alone cost over $2,000!" Apparently that doesn't matter at all. They also kept flipping sides when it was convenient for them. When I brought up cosmetic damage on their car they said "that's to be expected with a car of that age". But when I brought up cosmetic damage on my car they would act like it was the biggest deal. Literally wasted 4 hours of my life when they could have just told me on the phone that we were too far apart

Your staff on the phone AND in person all said you go off of KBB, and I was told you even pay above KBB a majority of the time. How is it possible that KBB says my car is worth $8000 for trade-in, and your dealership said it was only worth $2000 + an extra $1500 "because I was feeling generous and wanted to bump your value up a little" - Your sales manager. Also your sales manager tried shoving a theft insurance policy down my throat saying that the 2003 corvette "is a hot ticket item" and "I had someone get that same car stolen last month". However my corvette is only worth $2000?? You cant play both sides when the car im trading in is extremely similar to the car I was looking to buy.
