Avoid This Dealership – Major Issues with My Purchase! I recently bought a Nissan from Lafayette Volkswagen, haven't had it for 24 hours, I discovered a serious transmission problem. Despite my excitement about the purchase, I was devastated to find that the car was not functioning properly. I contacted the dealership for assistance but received little to no help. Now I have had this car in the shop since last week needing to replace the transmission and I don't even know if it will be covered under the warranty, I'm praying and hoping it will be if not I'm out of a car and still have to pay for it. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would advise potential buyers to think twice before making a purchase here.

Inquired about a vehicle from this dealership advertised

Inquired about a vehicle from this dealership advertised on Cars.com. Response came "I do want to let you know the GLS does have mechanical issues." I have asked 3 times now what the mechanical issues are, but the responses are nothing but typical sales pitches. Not sure what they are hiding or why, but I will be staying away.....

Amazing dealership and staff

I live in the Chicagoland area and was looking for a Taos with FWD, but for some reason there are no dealers with this SUV on its lot. After looking for this car online and doing some research, I was bombarded with phone calls and emails. Sean sent me a text with a video of the car and introduced himself in the video. Obviously I was hesitant to call Sean back because I would have to drive 2 hours to finalize a purchase, but am very glad I did. I worked things out with Sean prior to making the trip and Sean was true to his word. Sean and the dealership did not try to play any games with me and my experience was one of the best experience I have had I’ve the past 20 years of purchasing a vehicle. I would highly recommend purchasing a car from this dealership and also working with Sean Bolden. Just a great guy and stands behind his words. Thank you very much for everything Sean. Was a pleasure dealing with you!!!

Very happy 2023 VW Taos owner

I have been looking to get a new lease and had looked and got quotes in April. Decided to wait and explore my options. Then McKenzie called me this month about some new deals. She got me some quotes and they were able to locate the exact vehicle I was wanting (2023 Taos, Pure Gray)! This vehicle has more options than I even thought about! Within a weeks time of getting the quote and putting down a deposit for them to locate one, I drove away with a brand new ride! Derek kept me informed on the status and when I was able to come get it. Derek and Alex sat with me in the car and showed me all the cool things with the vehicle. Alex helped get My VW app installed and up and running. I want to thank all of them, I am a very happy new car owner!!

Horrible sales experience!

DO NOT EVER SHOP HERE!! Called and spoke with Sean Bolden about a Volkswagen Jetta we were ready to purchase for our 16 year old son. We asked for all the details and specifics. Once we heard about it, we told him we would like to purchase and would be there the same evening to finish the paperwork and drive it home. Sean offered to have it detailed for us due to it smelling like cigarette smoke and said it would be ready to take home at 6pm.We filled out the online application and gave him all the information he asked for. My wife arranged to get off work early to pick it up. One hour prior to us leaving, Sean called us and informed us that they sold the car to someone else. They are a very dirty and shady business! I wouldn't even give them a star but its required for the post!

Choice this place

Very nice business oriented place. They work with you and treat you like a customer instead of someone who is bothering them. I was out of state had ever thing set up for me when I got there even negotiated the price over the phone.

Sales staff was friendly, and professional!

Worst service dealership

Worst dealership ever! took my car in for axle and boot replacement. The service advisor: Chris Schiro was the worst service advisor. he looked at me and judged me thinking I wouldn’t be able to afford the repairs. He asked me several times if I want to think about it because he’s had people complain about the cost of service. Then he went in and kept talked to the two ladies at service desk who laughed and looked at me while he talked. I was behind a glass wall couldn't hear exactly what was being said. I was Given a quote and they were performed an inspection however they had to order parts. At this time I had no oil leak, my car is well maintained no one ever mentioned oil leak before that and I had no other issues with the car other than the axle issue that I needed them to fix. Later that day, I had to call them to get a status update and came back picked my car up, then pulled up to my house garage and I noticed a massive oil leak. When I called I was told they'd look at it when we got the parts when we received the parts which was to be in two days. A week later they hadn't called. I called the lady who answered did not apologize but told me that The service advisor left unexpectedly and they were overwhelmed as they have a pretty bad scheduling company etc. they did not apologize and scheduled me for an appointment 5 days later. Today I pick up my car still oil leaking, my axle isn't changed yet I paid $2800 no one called to let me know my car was ready. Zero communication. Not even a service summary call. My car is running like it got messed up really bad, it doesn’t start when you turn it on and has a loud clanking noise like the axle was totally screwed. Now I have to find a mechanic to fix VW mess. Thanks to the worst VW dealership. If there was zero star, that’s what they’d get or even negative stars.
