About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since May 2025.
Our family has been in the retail automotive business serving customers in Central Florida since 1948. Our founder and my grandfather, Carroll Starling along with his wife Grace opened the first Carroll new car dealership in 1957 in Kissimmee, Florida. Upon Carroll's passing, my father Alan Starling became the leader of the company and grew the business alongside the rapid growth in Central Florida.

This is a Cadillac Dealer and is the "Cadillac of the dealers"! Christian and Octavio made just our dream come true! They work with us and made every single possible effort to make our experience smooth and feasible. They are really customer focused listening to you to see how they can help for , off course, selling you a car but for you to be able to buy the car you want. They really let you feel like a family, take their time to explain you everything you need to know including helpful advice about cars, loans and more. Also I found out that Cadillac offer really a good value for the money, luxury and quality products. I do really recommend this dealer as the go to for the legendary Cadillac brand cars of your preference. Fraudulent, shady dealership Due to JC the GM

Note: I only collect yes to buying a car here as a technicality, because technically I didn’t. But the fraudulently submitted contract suggest that I did. Update: I spoke to JC, the gen manager, and he basically cussed me out and said I was a xxxxing nightmare. He said there is no way they would back out of the loan and he abruptly hung up on me The FL General Attorney’s office called me this morning and we discussed how to proceed with the case and filing charges. The Saga I attempted to purchase a vehicle from Starling Chevrolet Deland. The finance man, Christian, insisted I sign a contract that day and assigned it to Wells Fargo, he said they agreed to finance. I wanted to wait and go through my credit union, but he would not agree to that.so, I signed the contract and took the car. Two weeks later I had not heard anything, so I contacted WF and they have never heard of me. They said he never submitted my information to them. I contacted Christian and he said WF fell through because I couldn’t figure out my income. I had already received a check to REfinance from Navy Federal credit Union but it was unusable because Wells Fargo didn’t finance. So he asked if I could finance through NFCU. It took several days because they had to cancel the refinance loan before they can submit a new loan request. He sent me a new contract to sign because it was a new financer. I asked him if it was really necessary and he said yes that you have to sign a new contract if changing financer. NFCU did not work out. >>>Finance guy then asked me if he could send me a new contract for GM because they agreed to finance but at 14% not 7% like NFCU. >>>I said NO absolutely not I’m returning the car. I am not signing a contract, I do not want this vehicle, it’s been too much chaos. He asked if he could send a driver to bring the contract. I said no you can send a driver to pick up the car. I have all this in writing/texts. I never heard from them again. About a week later (a week ago) I got a notice from my Equifax app saying a new line of credit had been opened in my name. I looked and it was an auto loan through Starling Chevrolet Deland! But I NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT. >>>Later found out JC took the deal away from finance man and did it himself, You are so desperate to make a sale, Especially one that was so overpriced and complete price gouging, that he was willing to go to document and ruin my financial life… Just to make a bit of money. <<<<> I’ve spoken to GM Financial several times and they have opened a fraud investigation because they said he fraudulently submitted the contract. He crossed out Wells Fargo and wrote GM above it. Apparently, he also increased my income to make it look like I made more money so that they would approve the loan. I also lost one of my jobs during this time frame so my income is only half of what he submitted to GM, so that was fraudulent as well. And the loan is for about $2000 higher than the amount we agreed on. According to 5 attorneys I have spoken to and GM Financial, The dealer needs to back out of the loan since it is fraud. However, I won’t go in alone to return the car and insist they back out because the environment is full of toxic masculinity, all men and they all yell. If I go in as a single woman, they will spin everything and make me think I’m wrong and crazy. ———- To reiterate and sum up: Starling Deland forged a contract and opened an auto loan with GM for $23,000 in my name without my permission and without my knowledge. It was dated 4/4 even though it was 5/10. During that interval I lost one of my jobs which cut my income in half. So the information he submitted to GM was false. Had they confirmed with me, they would have known this. But no one would take my calls. To this day at the dealership has never told me that they opened a loan in my name.

THEY DON`T GIVE BACK THE EXT WARRANTY MONEY

Please do not purchase extended warranties at this dealer. The financier Sammy behaves very well at the time of selling these guarantees, at the time of canceling them he does everything possible not to return the money, invents excuses that the papers did not arrive. It`s a good dealer but the financier tries to play and not cancel the guarantees. The problem is that the general manager JC knows this and does nothing for this.

BEWARE OF THESE SHADY GUYS

Sold me a 2020 Mustang GT with 9,000 miles for $39,931 VIN 1FA6P8CF0L5133486 Told me all warranties had 20k+ miles bumper to bumper, check engine light came on less than 24 hours after buying the vehicle, took it to Ford long story short the car was on its third transmission somehow at 9k miles and had a crack in the engine block, warranty was voided 6 months before for abuse. Starling wouldn’t refund my money and was very rude and unprofessional, especially the GM, JC. The day I traded it in as I had no other choice, they listed this car again at the same price saying 1 owner as if nothing had ever happened. I hope nobody gets played on this same exact car as I did.

No son transparentes

Fuimos a entregar un carro para comprar otro y no nos hacer el negocio porque dicen que el carro que lleve tenia malo el motor lo cual no es cierto, con el miedo de quedarme sin carro para trabajar accedimos a comprarle uno. Despues de muchas horas de espera compramos un chevy trax en 15000 el cual no nos informaron de todas las cosas del contrato, para empezar no tenia garantia de devolucion los 15000 se convirtieron en 33000 de los cuales reportaron 20000 a mi credito a base enganos es como funcionan no los recomendaria a nadie porque realmente me senti estafada tienen un proceso enganoso los numeros solo corren a su favor, me incluyeron en la factura demaciados numeros y entre ellos del servicio que deberia ser gratis si no informarlo para que yo decidiera si lo queria o no, ellos me enganaron una ves pero perdieron mas porque jamas en la vida me volvera a pasar gracias por ensenarme con ustedes aprendi algo mas y el manager JC como se hace llamar es el peor de todos es todo un maestro a usted senor espero que el karma no lo alcance.

Criminal

I would not even give this dealership, starling, Deland one star. They lied, tried to steal my $1,000. They should be ashamed. my deposit was to be held to test drive a vehicle that they had to obtain from another dealership. They not only cashed my check, and NEVER had access to the vehicle I wanted, and told me i would have my money back in 7 days, and here it is 20 days later and my money has not been returned. i had to drive 3 hours and i am waiting in the dealership for my money. Criminal is all i have to say

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

Best experience I ever had leasing a vehicle. Brooke, my salesperson, was very attentive to my needs and professional throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied. The entire transaction took place online and by phone, without even stepping into the dealership, due to COVID-19.
