Service is awful.
Service is awful. I arrived at 7:38 for a 7:45 appointment. The assessment was complete at 9:12 but my van wasn't ready until almost 11 am (over 3 hours of time spent). All they had to do was replace the fan in the dash. The video at 9:12 shows the dashboard off and the fan not operating properly...not quite sure why it took an hour and 48 minutes to replace the fan. During the repair they tore my leather passenger's seat in multiple places and have refused to fix it properly. They want to use a process that "melts" the leather back together...so I'm sure the "patch" will fail quite quickly from the heat/cold extremes (seats are heated) and pressure of being sat on....then they can claim they fixed it and leave me with a torn seat. So not only did I waste 3 hours, but now I have a destroyed passenger seat too. I keep getting the used car salesman run around....exactly what gives car dealerships a bad reputation! Stay far, far away from Jim Hudson Service department!

Went into this Toyota dealership with the intention of buying a new Toyota. The first sales agent Christian was fine and not really interested in helping me. Got handed off to J.C. Garcia who showed me a car, I asked to take it for a test drive? Mr. Garcia no unless you will buy it today and told me to f*** off basically. I said no problem, clearly you don't want my business. Drove across the street to Steve Padgett Honda, really nice and extremely helpful sales staff who let me test drive to 2 cars. So I bought a Honda instead, excellent customer service and fairer sales staff. A total disaster!! Extremely horrible customer service with the sales team at Jim Hudson Toyota. Be smart and take your business somewhere else.... **Also just found out online that Jim Hudson dealerships have been subject to a number of public investigations by the SC Department of Consumer Affairs for cheating by overcharging customers with excessive dealer fees. Research it yourself, it's a fact**

The discounted price was in the range of the dealer I
The discounted price was in the range of the dealer I ended up purchasing from but the difference was the value of the dealer installed accessories. Here you get window tint, door cups and edge guards, floor mats, and a pinstripe for $1595 and Predator running boards for $895, for a total cost of $2490. The dealer installed accessories on the truck I purchased were TRD running boards, bed step, bed extender, console safe, and tailgate letters which totaled out to $2795. Plus they removed the PPF I didn't want from the hood and took the cost out of the price of the truck. I didn't have a trade so there was nothing to deal with there. I got dealer installed hardware and not dealer installed stick on items. I probably would have bought here if they would have reduced the cost of the mats and stick on items but didn't mind the drive to get the hardware items that I would be adding anyway. Glad they are finally offering competitive pricing here. Three months ago when I first looked here discounts were minimal and there wasn't a willingness to negotiate.

I've been going to Jim Hudson Toyota since I moved to the area in 2018. At the end of 2023, I decided to purchase a new car and give my business to the dealership as I had good experience with them for the past five years. Unfortunately, my experience was not only unprofessional and unethical, it may be considered criminal. I was in the market for a Grand Hylander Hybrid. Because of the popularity and the newness of the vehicle, I was told it would be 6-8 weeks before the car would arrive. No problem! I'm patient. 6-8 weeks came and went... after 3 months "my" car finally arrived. I went to the dealership to officially purchase the car. Abraham, my salesman, explained my car was being detailed but we could start the paperwork. I jokingly asked him if he was going to pull a "bait and switch." We both laughed. After signing several documents, they pulled my car to the front for me to see. While it "looked" like my car, I realized it was not the vehicle I ordered. Abraham acted surprised that it wasn't my car and grabbed Kendal, the sales manager. They acted shocked that is wasn't the correct vehicle. Then the two of them proceeded to tell me they had called me the day prior and said I agreed to purchase the "substitute" car -- I never received a call from anyone at Jim Hudson nor would I have agreed to accept the substitute vehicle as it did not have the items they knew I wanted in the Grand Hylander. (Why would they be surprised the "wrong" vehicle arrived, then proceed to tell me they had called the day before to ask if I wanted the substitute?) There is no doubt they would have proceeded with the deal and sold me a car I did not order or want had I not been observant and realized the vehicle was not the Grand Hylander Hybrid I agreed upon and had placed a deposit on. It is with great disappointment to know this dealership is dishonest and unethical. I cannot and will not recommend them to anyone in the market for a car.

Vehicle delivered with malfunction on dash. Two dealerships disagreed over who should pay for repairs. Salesman did not remember telling me it would not be an issue to get fixed. Nothing to worry about he said, the vehicle is under warranty. We will take care of it. Kaitlyn the customer relations manager was a breath of fresh air. She was an excellent mediator during the challenging talks.

The finance team was great and the entire process took less than two hours, with two kids and two test drives! Great work!

We have been looking at a Jeep on the lot for a couple weeks now. After stopping by the third time, we were once again told that the keys were not located and it wasn’t ready to sell. We asked for our vehicle to be appraised and after waiting an hour and we asked for our keys back, they decided to jump in our vehicle and take off. All the sales staff were standing around looking at their phones and could care less whether we were there or not. Needless to say, we left and went down the road and drove home in the exact model of Jeep at the Jim Hudson lot with way better service. We have bought several vehicles from Jim Hudson Toyota but they have now lost a customer. Very disappointed in Jim Hudson Toyota.

This is my second Toyota Highlander purchased from Jim Hudson Toyota. The second experience was probably the best. My sales associate Len Wall was fabulous. He answered all of me and my husband's questions no matter what we asked. He was very knowledgeable about Toyota vehicles. I had a specific list of needs in a vehicle, and he got me everything I wanted under our overall budget. Our finance associate, Brittany, explained all of our payment information in detail which was great because the first time around in 2016 that part of our experience was awful. I would recommend Len at Jim Hudson to anyone. He did not pressure us to leave with a car the first day I went in. He allowed us to go home and give it some thought and if the car was still available to come back and see them. And that is what we did!
