Write a reviewOut of state, don’t go to Alabama!
Traveled from out of state to buy a jeep. They were the only ones that had that color and style. At the signing they demanded I pay half the taxes, saying it’s a law. After returning home my tag office stated that was not the law. Their half was 3.75% but my taxes were 7%. Their paperwork defaulted to 2% and we signed the wrong paperwork. After the paperwork was corrected the dealership sent the wrong paperwork to my tag office. When I would call to have it corrected they would TELL me what my taxes were supposed to be and not listening to what was needed. The only light in this mess was the salesman. After calling and describing what had happened he got the paperwork and corrected the tag office. Tyler was the best!! My part of the taxes was 600 less than their estimate. They were wrong about the taxes and collecting them.🙁

Warning!!!!!
The worst dealership I have ever bought a vehicle from!!! Customer service ends when they get their money! I bought a $75k truck from them. They lost one of the key fobs to it and said they would call when they found it. 2 months later I had to call them. They set up an appointment for me to come in during the week to program a new fob. So I took the morning off of work thinking it would be really quick. I sat outside in the heat for 3.5 hours only for them to tell me that they don’t have a fob for my vehicle. They had 2 weeks to make sure they had the right one!! Then the key guy said they would call me and come to my work to get it taken care of. That was 2 months ago and still no call. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! You have been warned! Update !! After 10 more calls and a couple more months I finally got an appointment to take my vehicle in for a new fob. I showed up to only find out that they didn’t have my appointment scheduled. They told me they may have one and I handed them the key and waited. I waited for 2.5 hours for them to take me that they don’t have a fob for my vehicle. I was fuming because I have lost more $ by taking off of work than a new fob would have cost me out of pocket. They then called me a few days later and said they have a key blank ……. I said it’s supposed to be a fob. The lady said oh ….. well let me check and see if it’s a fob and we will call you back. Guess what ……NO CALL. That was approximately a month ago. I have now owned my vehicle for almost a year now and no fob from these fools !!! I have never dealt with suck pathetic people in my entire life.

Champion Dodge in Athens AL is a joke... Stay away
Tried to order a 2022 Rebel Truck... Put money down 30-SEP-21. Manager says within a week you will get notice from us they can build the truck... 1 to 2 weeks after that you get your VIN number. Ya right... tried to add the Ram Boxes to the truck 3 days later... Manager says "Oh no... you can't change anything now they are in build"...I called 20-OCT (3 Weeks Later) on status... They had no info on anything. Called today and they said "we just got an email from Dodge. There is a seat issue? I asked how that can be an issue now since I tried to change the Ram Box earlier and I couldn't it was "In Build" I questioned the manager on this and he got upset and said I was accusing him of lying. I then said can I get my money refunded and he said yes but would not say when I could pick up the check. Then the xxxxx hung up on me. I then called back to talk to the GM. Of course he's been way to busy for me and my $63,000 truck purchase.

!WARNING!!
I would steer clear of places that use this type of blatant false advertising to get more clicks. they say list the vehicle price at $1200 for a brand new $50000 truck. If they lie just to get you to look at pictures, imagine what they will do to you when you get their!!!! BEWARE!!!!

Dealer sceduled a recall without parts available
Made an appointment for tailgate recall. Specifically asked if parts were available and told yes. Next day arrived on time, turned over truck, and 40 minutes later told parts not on hand.

No Service After the Service
I recently had new spark plugs installed in my Chrysler Town and Country at Champion of Athens. The day after the service, I noticed my Check Engine Light was on. I tried for more than a week to talk to them about it, but the service department insisted that I make another service appointment, the earliest available being 3 to 4 weeks. I finally went to my local auto parts store and had them check the computer. The Check Engine warning was for "misfire in #2 cylinder". After repeated attempts to have the dealership see why this happened after changing the spark plugs, I contacted Chrysler Corporate who told me that I would have to make another appointment to get the problem looked at, at my expense. I hope you never have an issue with your Chrysler, but if you do, seek help elsewhere.

Review Salesman Erik Brown and Champion Chrysler
Erik Brown was very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. He showed us what we first asked about but he listened to our comments / wants and showed us a vehicle that fit us and we ultimately purchased. He showed us the different features of the vehicle and assisted us in setting up items we weren't familiar with. Gary(used car sales) and Dan (financing) were also extremely helpful & friendly. Gary worked with us to come to terms we were satisfied with and Dan provided options (one that I chose) to provide better future service. The only reason I didn't rate the Buying Process as excellent was because your computer system was up & down and it took 2.5 hours to get the paperwork completed.
