I bought a car 10 months ago, the ac didn’t work a week
I bought a car 10 months ago, the ac didn’t work a week into owning it. They did fix that after I left a bad review. Now, my car is burning oil. My local mechanic said it needs a new engine. Fellini’s mechanic is trying to say my catalytic converter is going bad and causing the car to burn oil, that’s absolutely false. It does not work that way. Google, three other mechanics, and dozens of other people have now told me no, a bad cat doesn’t case a car to burn oil. The engine issue is causing the cat to go bad. They’re refusing to do anything to help. I was a desperate single mom needing a reliable car and they took advantage of me by selling me a lemon.

Don’t Buy From These Crooks
Our daughter was looking for her first car purchase. We ended up here (more than an hour from home). She said up front that the down payment was all of her savings, that she was moving to FL, & needed a car that wouldn’t break down or be troublesome while she was living there alone. We were at the lot for over 5 hrs. She, at one point said, “I’m not gonna get out of here without buying a car”. So, yeah, pressure. She did finally agree to purchase a 2015 Outlander, because we were told it was “thoroughly checked” & in great condition. She was told they added a bumper to bumper warranty that would cover everything. She was told she would have to leave with a dealer plate because they weren’t able to get a temporary plate at the time, and she would have to mail it back once they mailed her the info she needed to go to the DMV here in WV. Well, ON THE WAY HOME the air conditioning stopped working and the check engine light came one. It was already after 7:00 on a Friday, so there was no turning around. I called the next morning and was told to bring it back & they would fix the air. We weren’t able to take it back until Friday (because of work & being so far away). We took it to our mechanic & were told that the brakes were also bad as well as a burned out headlight, plus the key didn’t work on the door. It wouldn’t pass WV inspection. So the car sat, not being driven until it could be returned. During this time, they were texting/calling continually asking for more information for bank approval - even though we were told the loan was approved before we left the dealership. My daughter decided, at this point, to just return the car and told the dealer that intention after they kept badgering her for more info. We did have to go back and forth w/the manager for quite a while before he agreed to take the car back. He then kept $400 of her down payment as a “restocking fee” for “paperwork”. As we see it, there was never a legal agreement. My daughter signed the paperwork based on an “approved loan” for the purchase, when in fact, the loan was not completed - so no sale. No license, taxes or fees were paid, and the car still had the dealer plates. This was just an overall stressful and expensive experience. Edit: My daughter was told that they couldn’t refund the entire amount she paid because it would “set a precedent “ and everyone would demand a full refund. Well, in reading through the MANY complaints about this dealership, we discovered one that WAS given a full refund plus other costs. Hmmmm. Not only did they keep more than the 15% my daughter paid, they also kept the $30 fee they charged her to use a card because they wouldn’t accept a check for payment. Now my daughter is minus $430 of the money she has been saving for a down payment on a car, plus the $109 we paid our mechanic to tell us everything that was wrong with it.
