I found several vehicles I'm interested in, and even filled out the form for pre approval loan, and haven't been able to reach any body since! Makes me feel like it was a scam, had to change my banking information and everything!

Where do I start?
Where do I start? Contacted Crypto Autos of TX and told them I was pre-approved and interested in a vehicle, initially speaking with Christina. I told Christina that I lived in Baton Rouge, LA and would not be able to come to San Antonio to do the transaction in person, and if that was OK. She said that was fine. She even said she checked with someone in her shop, and that it would be about a dollar a mile to ship the vehicle to me. No problem. It took about a week of radio silence (didn't hear a peep from them) before I finally reached out to them, and eventually spoke with a sales rep (don't remember his name). While I had a pre-approval with Westlake Financial, Crypto sent me out to about three other places (they did not ask my permission). The sales rep started to explain the pricing. While my pre-approval was for 48 months, he said that the longest term that Westlake would approve was 24 months (yes, they sent me out to three other places to get me approved but we would up back with Westlake). He said I could contact Westlake directly to try and extend the term, and he gave me their phone number. I asked him to please email a copy of the numbers to me so I could review them (IM STILL WAITING FOR THE NUMBERS). I contacted Westlake and did indeed extend the term to 36 months, only to discover that the price of the vehicle was approximately 33% MORE than the listed price. I called Crypto back but there was no answer. I sent them a text expressing my concern and received the following text from them: "We are honoring the original price-however-we cannot proceed with shipping the car as the customer must take physical delivery of the vehicle as per our agreement with the bank." I sent a text back stating that I was a bit confused and asked whether that meant I had to come to San Antonio (which I would have preferred not to do, but could have done so if the deal was right)? Crickets. Called and left a message. Crickets. Sent another text, and ......crickets. I thought going through cars.com would weed out the bad actors and incompetents, but I guess I was wrong. You guys (your car dealers) could move a lot more vehicles if they were honest and up front about the pricing. I have purchased about 10 vehicles in my lifetime (wife, kids, etc.). This was the only bad experience I've ever had. Moving on. Only dealing with local dealers that I can physically visit. Waste of time and credit score!

Do not buy a vehicle until you get everything in
I was able to go get the car checked by a mechanic. I mentioned the power seat doesn’t work and the tires are cracked and shot. They told me they can get me tires at a dealer price. I buy the car now they can’t get tires. I was an idiot for buying as there is no savings by the time I pay to get this resolved. I could have found for sure the same car with more miles but in flawless condition. I say get everything in writing.
