BUYER BEWARE!!! This dealership is a scam. I bought a car from them December 29th, 2025 and still haven’t received the title, and the dealer is not answering or returning calls. Called Virginia dealer board and was told they are out of business.

When I first contacted the dealership about a 2014 Silverado I was ready to recommend them to everyone .Then came the problem of getting my title.Its been almost 2 months...I do not understand.Be aware!

I bought a car from CarStop in February 2025. It’s now August 2025 and I still don’t have tags or a title. At first it was story after story about CarMax not giving them the title and then it had a lien. Now they have supposedly been waiting on the DMV for over a month. I’ve had to go there every 30 days to get new temporary 30 day tags. The story changes every time I call. The tags will come in the mail, the next time I call, I’m told they will get them and I will need to pick them up, the next time I call, the tracking system is down or it’s new and they don’t know how to look it up. Right now the car is just sitting in my driveway because they keep telling me they will call me back. The last set of temp tags they gave me expired July 21st. Absolutely would never recommend buying a car from them. And I’m lost on what I do from here. Do I sue them, what is even the process for something like this? Update: After calling again and telling them I’d be filling a complaint with the Attorney General Consumer Protection Agency, they said I could come get the title and take it the DMV myself because that would be quicker and easier. So they have been lying to me for over a month that it was sent to the DMV. They have it there and we’re doing idk what with it. Now they are supposedly going to the DMV tomorrow to get it done. Not holding my breath. Still filling a complaint. This can’t be legal.

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THEM!!! I purchased my vehicle 2 months ago and I still haven’t received a title. I call and they don’t pick up. After 2 months of waiting, they had to provide me with new temporary tags when mine has expired. Leaving me to drive on dead tags. Finally he gave me a deadline that if he didn’t receive my title, he would give me a refund. That’s when I couldn’t get anybody on the phone. They gotta be writing their own reviews because my boyfriend bought an Audi from them and spent $30,000 and it still had problems (which tires never got replaced like discussed) and even after he paid for it they was still advertising it as if it was still for sale.

Stay away. They do not honor We Owe agreements. Dishonest. We have a complaint with the Va state agency that deals with car dealerships. Not optimistic though.

Please stay away. Despite how good the prices might seem, these cars are riddled with problems and the dealers (specifically Mike) are untrustworthy and just want your money. I thought I found a good deal, but the car I bought with them has probably been the worst financial decision of my life I bought a Lexus IS350 from them on short notice. First problem, on their website listing they never mentioned that it had a REJECTED inspection. I drove 5 hours to see the car (and paid a 300$ deposit) to find out that it had numerous issues. When about to purchase, I brought up the fact that it had steering issues noted on the inspection that were never mentioned to me, Mike said "it's probably something like the tie rod not a big deal." When driving I ended up losing ABS, traction control and brakes because of that problem, and it ended up being a 1300$ job. Now, the electrical system went out, the speakers are gone (3900$ job OEM), and there's evidence of extensive rust throughout the car. Despite a clean title and no evidence of a flood. Every time I step in that car I regret I bought from Carstop VA. All in all, dealers are not good people, cars are in poor shape, and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.

I went to car stop of colonial beach to purchase a vehicle, salesman and I worked a deal I called my credit union told the dealer I would bring the check the next day. Went the next day as agreed with check and they sold the vehicle while I was sitting there. They just sold my neighbors son a vehicle with a rod nocking. Buyer predator selling.
