We had such high hopes for City Limits Subaru but today
We had such high hopes for City Limits Subaru but today we found they are not what we hoped. We met with Joe Morales about a used 2017 outback. Joe and his manager came up with a price which included our trade in of a 2014 Outback. We went home and applied for financing with NFCU and was approved. I contacted Joe via text Friday evening (03/08 at 8:56PM)and let him know we had the financing and would touch base in the morning. Saturday morning (03/09 9:00 AM) I sent Joe over our approved financing which included the price and the vin of the car. Joe talked with his GSM and she said for us to come in today and pick up the car.(9:03 AM) We set up a time to come in at 1:00 PM, then a little later Joe texts and says someone else is coming in to look at the same car.(9:07 AM) Ok, well we have financing in place for that car and will pick it up today. Joe said he would let us know if they are going to buy it….what? I offered Joe my credit card to take a deposit but no response. We drove to the dealership and Joe told us it had in fact been sold to the people that came to look at it. I don’t feel that the salesman stood up for us . He knew we had the financing and his GSM told us to come pick it up. We had to cancel the loans with NFCU and our credit score dropped almost 50 points due to having a new loan which we now don’t have! This is unacceptable and unprofessional.

Unfortunately, we do not hold used cars because we have over 30 product specialists all trying to sell the same inventory, so we go by first come first serve unless we already have a signed contract with our finance department. I understand the vehicle you were looking for was hard to come by, but we can keep an eye out for something similar and make you a deal on it. Thank you for the response unfortunately I do not agree as the correspondence between the sales person and myself clearly shows that the GSM had told us to come pick up the car Saturday and a time was scheduled. I have a copy of the loan documents from NFCU showing the vin of the car and the amount that was sent to Joe who in turn showed it to the GSM who said to come pick up the car. That clearly states an agreement that it was offered and accepted. Below is the copy of the text from Joe at 9:03 AM Saturday morning. “Spoke to my GSM and she said you can come in today and pick up the vehicle “ I am a Vietnam era veteran and we are both senior citizens on fixed incomes. This was the vehicle we thought would serve us well for our remaining years and adjusted our finances just be able to afford it. You can imagine what this has done to us. I will continue to share this info hoping someone else doesn’t have the same fate.

Went in bc they offered a discount on oil changes but was not impressed. Certainly not the level of service and attention to detail that I am accustomed to. There was no information given on my tire tread depth, no multi point inspection, no topping off of fluids. They did wash the car but I also purchased new wiper blades and when I picked up my car after they said they were done I noticed the same old wiper blades were on. I then had to wait another 10-15 mins for a tech to put these on and had to pay $25 for the blades to be put on. All this while my service advisor was talking and texting on his phone when he could have been expediting the process and wasn’t. Also asked them to put a valve cover on one of my tires which was missing one and they forgot to do this too. And if you live in Travis county and need an inspection don’t go here bc they are in Hays county. Very poor attention to detail. Won’t be going back.

This a new dealership close to me.
This a new dealership close to me. I no longer have to drive 40+ miles for service and the dealership is very, very nice!!! Dog park, coffee bar with a Barista, and comfy waiting area. Andrea was the service writer and she was attentive, present, and pleasant. I took my dog and we made the rounds “visiting” with staff. Everyone was delightful

I can't say enough about this dealership or the folks working there! 51 years of purchasing automobiles and I have never had an experience like this. Extremally smooth process. Absolute transparency and a win-win negotiation!! Jeff Barnett who sold me the vehicle treated me with genuine respect and met all my requirements. (He also didn't hang me out to dry during the wait process that occurs in vehicle purchases!!) He came repeatedly.to just talk with me.! Michael Polak Sales Manager also was out front checking on me along with Joseph Medulla. Joseph Medulla Finance Manager respected my wishes and did not high pressure me to buy things I didn't want! Joseph also has a great sense of humor. Actually all 3 of these gentlemen had me cracking up continuously. I thought I was hanging out with my buddies instead of buying a car! WHAT!? Very smart impressive people at this dealership. I will highly recommend this dealership to everyone and hopefully send them more business. If you aren't thinking about a Subaru I would go visit with Jeff. You Might change your mind! I was intending on visiting 3 more dealerships!
