The overall score is not reflective of the overall
The overall score is not reflective of the overall experience, but more the overall feeling after everything was finished. The salesman was good. None of the normal slimy salesman vibes you normally get from car dealers. And most of the deal was to my satisfaction, however there are a couple bigger issues that had they done then right would have made the deal perfect. When I bought the car I told them I would need it delivered when the prep and paperwork was complete. It was all complete, but he was too busy with customers to deliver it. I caught a 30 dollar Uber and went to go get it. He had no customers that I saw. When I got out of the lot I noticed the fuel was almost empty. Unless negotiated there should be no expectation of a full tank, but not enough gas to make it home is just not what I consider appropriate. I guess I misunderstood the license fee, it's not for plates, it's for the temp tag. You have to go get a tag once you get the registration in the mail. Yet another issue -part of the deal was they needed to put tires on it. They did, good tires. 65k mile tires. But I have no paperwork on the tires. No 65k factory warranty paperwork, no road hazard, nothing. It's not the extra hundred out of pocket (Uber and gas), it's the gfy attitude I perceived after the deal was done I was happy with the price and the deal, so I have no regrets on the purchase, I just think things should have been handled better. The car delivered as agreed, some paperwork of some kind in the tires and at least enough gas to make it home

Fair negotiators.
Fair negotiators. Craig, Bill and John did a good job of valuing my trade and not wasting my time.

I brought my vehicle into the Coughlin Kia service center
I brought my vehicle into the Coughlin Kia service center on 12/17/25 for an oil pressure sensor and harness repair/replacement. A few hours after the repair was completed, I noticed that my engine was leaking a large amount of oil. I took the car back to the service center where they admitted that the service tech had cracked the sensor during the repair, causing the leak. A new part would have to be ordered but they assured that the repair would be done the next morning. It wasn’t. It took another day for the repair. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I addressed my concern that the engine was damaged during the initial repair. The service manager, Mike Harris, responded that it was only a “minor crack” and not that big of a deal. I said since the initial repair was done incorrectly, causing me to be without my vehicle for over two days and causing 4 separate trips to the service center, that I should be entitled to a partial refund. He disagreed and said that since they had fixed the problem that they created, that was sufficient. I then spoke with service director Nate Bickel who offered me a $225 service credit towards future work. I said that I had no intention of using their service department in the future and that I wanted a partial refund for the initial faulty repair. He said that he would have considered giving me a refund if I agreed to use their service department in the future, but since I did not, he had no intention of compensating me. This is not how you do business. If you make a mistake, no matter how “small” you think that mistake may be, you own up to it and make it right. The fact that Nate said he would only refund me if I agreed to continue to use their company, especially rubbed me the wrong way. In my opinion, Coughlin Kia does not operate their business with integrity. You should take your business elsewhere.

Talking care of Lewis center is a great dealership.
Talking care of Lewis center is a great dealership. They were able to answer all my questions and they were not pushy about buying the car that I was looking at. My salesperson Colleen was very helpful and kept me informed as to what was going on with the car between it getting certified and getting detailed. I definitely would buy a car from this company.

We wanted to buy a pre-owned Kia EV6.
We wanted to buy a pre-owned Kia EV6. There were none near us in Michigan, but we found several at dealerships out of state, including Coughlin Kia of Lewis Center. Unfortunately, the sales staff at Coughlin were pretty unresponsive for a couple days. Things got better, but we never had the sense that Coughlin Kia really wanted to sell us a car. Maybe some of these problems were due to the CDK cyberattack that affected dealerships all over, but other dealerships seemed to be coping more effectively. In the end, it didn’t matter. The vehicle we bought elsewhere was just a better deal. We would have bought from Coughlin Kia if they had had the best car for us, but we think it would have been a frustrating experience.

Called service department for a safety recall on a 2019
Called service department for a safety recall on a 2019 Kia Niro on 1-8-24 at 2:20 p.m. Was on hold for over twenty-five minutes and no one answered the phone. It's certainly different doing business with Coughlin!

Vehicle purchase at Coughlin Kia at Lewis Center.
I bought a used vehicle this week and dealt with Andrew and Bryce. Excellent customer service and I was surprised at how fast the process went. Every employee there was courteous and very friendly. The car was cleaned and spotless. I also received timely responses from my phone calls and texts after the purchase. The dealership was very clean. I noticed that there were a lot of stalls in the maintenance shop indicating that they can accommodate many vehicles for service or repairs. Overall it was a very good experience.

Superior, Family-Oriented Customer Service
LOOK NO FURTHER for another dealership or vehicle!!! We have purchased many vehicles over the last 30+ years through several dealerships and with several manufacturers. The buying process has always been stressful, lack-luster, and the sales/finance teams were aggressive. At Kia Coughlin we met Bryce and Andrew who treated us like family and made the car buying process easy, fun, and tailored to our needs. They listened to what we wanted, and they delivered! They went above-and-beyond to get the exact car we wanted - a black, AWD, EV6 GT. And the car was delivered in less than one-month instead of three-months! Financing was easy and hassle-free. No sales gimmicks or pressure. We asked for reasonable trade-in compared to Kelly Blue Book and what we were offered at a certain car buyer, and Andrew made it happen. THE EV6 IS THE BEST electric vehicle and it's just not only our opinion! Oh yeah...and the EV6 GT...the car is beyond expectations and EXTREMELY FUN TO DRIVE and FAST! We drove and researched several electrical vehicles (BMW, Mercedes, Tesla, Hyundai, Nissan, and Rivian). The Kia EV6 is superior to them all. The EV6 is luxurious and comfortable; has everything you need from auto-drive to wireless charging; the exterior and interior design are aesthetically beautiful. We highly recommend the lighting package for any EV6 model. I have had the EV6 GT for two weeks and I have had several people at stop lights roll down their window and tell me how amazing the car looks. In store parking lots I have had three different people stop to tell me how awesome the car looks and ask me questions about the EV6. Charging at home is a breeze and inexpensive...at 2.5-3 miles per KwH and current electrical charges of $0.075 per KwH...you pay only $25-$30 per 1000 miles at home!!! And you get the best warranties we've ever been offered...10 years and this even covers NORMAL WEAR and TEAR - just not the tires, wipers, or brakes. We even test drove the EV6 Wind AWD and it is just as amazing as the GT and the Wind gets a little more mileage per charge - but we wanted the 576HP from the GT! GO SEE BRYCE and ANDREW at KIA COUGHLIN TODAY!!!... ...and get your new Kia from a new kind of dealership - one that is honest, treats you like family, and has integrity!!! We are so grateful to Kia Coughlin, Bryce, Andrew, and the rest of the team for making our car buying experience the best ever - bar none! And, we are grateful to Kia for making the best electrical vehicle on the market - the EV6 GT! Thank you to the entire Kia Coughlin Team, Paul and Jeff K-W Delaware, OH, 43015
