Bought a vehicle that needed a head gasket within 48

Bought a vehicle that needed a head gasket within 48 hours of buying. I bought it As-Is but no effort made to help fix it since it was within 48 hours. Was told by Cody he had no problem driving it across the country. No law was broken. My problem is with their morals and standards.

Here at Clay Maxey CDJR we have a section of used vehicle we refer to as "Cash Value Cars". This is an alternative option to wholesaling or auctioning vehicles. All of these cars go through our shop and get a safety inspection that we call a Stop,Start, & Steer inspection. If the car passes a safety inspection then it can be sold at a wholesale price to the public. When one of these vehicles is sold off of our lot we have specific paperwork stating that the vehicles are AS IS / WHERE IS. We are always extremely transparent about this process with the customer at the time of purchase. The vehicle referenced above happened to be a 1990 Ford Ranger that was in what appeared to be very good shape however it is 33 years old and we most certainly can't guarantee that a 33 year old vehicle will not have an issue. We have never intentionally sold a vehicle that we knew a customer would be dissatisfied with.

I wasn't dissatisfied with the vehicle, nor did I give you a one star review. I even admitted I bought it As-Is. My only issue is being a previous business owner I would expect my product to last more than 48 hours and would offer some type of break or discount fixing since you also have a service department. Clay Maxie did nothing wrong, nor violated any laws. After reading your reply I now have an issue with your honesty because I was told by Cody he would drive that truck anywhere. Nowhere was it posted nor was I told this was a wholesale vehicle. The listed price didn't reflect a wholesale vehicle of 33 years of age. I admit the vehicle looks like it was well taken care of. Now, I've been totally honest, will you impress me and correct what you stated about it being listed as a wholesale vehicle and admit I was told by Cody he would drive this vehicle anywhere.

I have one more request about your honesty now. I called you the day after i got the vehicle regarding a question i had about the title. I don't know who the employee was but I told him i liked the truck and his response was i got a unicorn. When we ended the call I had to look up what a unicorn vehicle was. Nowhere in the definition did it say it meant cash value or vehicle heading to auction. So is Google's definition wrong or is it your policy to call cash value/wholesale vehicles (which it was never listed as such) "Unicorns"?

We had the check engine light come on while visiting the...

We had the check engine light come on while visiting the area. We took our Dodge Caravan in to have them look at it on Saturday morning. First thing Monday within an hour and a half of opening up they call and said it was ready and we were able to get back on the road home. It needed a software update. Go figure.. lol.. Fantastic service and helping someone from out of town.
