Stopped by the dealership to see what used Honda Civics
Stopped by the dealership to see what used Honda Civics they had. Salesman told me they just took in trade a 2022 Civic. It hadn't even been cleaned up at all or run thru the service department. Took it for a test ride and liked it. I put $50 deposit on it and the next morning I told the salesman I was definitely taking it. He assured me he'd have it all cleaned up and thru the service department. The next day I stopped by to see it and it was still out back and hadn't been cleaned. I told the finance person I would probably go with new and no one offered to help me even though they were standing around doing nothing. I was told my salesman was off that day and would help me the next day. I decided I didn't like how the dealership was run and decided to go to another Honda dealership. I notified the salesman at Scoville-Meno I bought a new car elsewhere. I asked about getting my deposit back and I got the run around. It's been almost a month and still no deposit back. Definitely not going to deal with them ever again. I'd rather drive an hour and get much better treatment. Shame on Scoville-Meno.

Beware
We purchased a car and it has a back transmission. Was told it was too exspensive to fix the issue(mind we had car a week). We were told they would place us in a different vehicle. Now over 3 months in I’m paying on a car I’m scared to drive the problem is worse and is unsafe. When I asked what if we get hurt in the vehicle I was told “you can’t live wondering what if”. Over 3 months I’m still in and paying for a car that is junk. I call every week to ask if they found us a car and nothing.

Okay, but they do not have a body shop to repair.
I have been using Honda for years, and always receive excellent service. The problem with my Honda 2018 car--has a slight manufacturing defect in the outside metal part above the wheel--it slightly pops out, but Honda does not have a body shop, and I will have to pay for it to be repaired elsewhere. The backup camera is defective on a steep incline/decline, no body shop at Honda to make repairs from damaged back end. I have to have my passenger exterior mirror replaced--it costs one hundred dollars online, but Honda charges five hundred dollars for the part. Honda does not have quality big bumpers on the car, I will have to have them placed, and get it done elsewhere since Honda does not have a body shop. Honda does not seem to offer the better quality filters 4-1 for cabin or the K&N engine air filter, did that elsewhere. For checkup service, Honda is great, but the Oneonta, NY one does not have a body shop, and they have no car pickup and delivery service either--so if you live out of town, one needs to arrange one's life around the appointment. They do not have enough benches outside, typical for the area--they place the nice flowering containers near the one outside bench, so the bees fly around one, and no aerial line or enclosure outside if one brings one's comfort pets along. (There are areas to walk the pets along the sidewalks.) The waiting room is small, and probably uses recycled air. The TV screen could be larger--if watching sports there, etc. They have coffee and a few vending machines.

Bad purchasing experience!!
Had to find my own financing. Sold with half bald tires. Delayed me purchasing/picking up the vehicle for no reason other than making it more costly to me while renting a car.

We apologize that you felt you had to write a review of this nature. Unfortunately, we must deal in facts. The truth is due to your credit situation we were unable to obtain a loan for you. At that point, you had to obtain your own financing. This was the cause of delay, the check you brought was from out of state which we originally gave instructions to wire the money into our account due to company policies with out of state checks. We can't ever let a vehicle leave our lot without adequate payment as I am sure most people understand. During this time you emailed us and we stated at any time we could release you from the sale, we never received any response. Being that you purchased a vehicle with over 100k miles, not everything is new on the vehicle. He walked us through all the paper work, explained everything in great detail. For the first time ever we knew exactly what we were paying for and what we were not paying for. It is so hard to find a salesman who is upfront and honest and a no pressure Person. Thats how I see it....Thank you Don for your excellent service. He loves his truck and I love my car. The funniest part of this whole thing was we just went in to test drive a new Dodge Ram and came out two lucky people with a 2014 truck and a 2012 Journey. Thanks Don
