Amazing Dealership - Best in the area!
My wife and I bought our Mercedes from Sun Motor Cars this past year. The sales team was amazing and we never felt pressured to buy anything we didn't want. Just helped us find what we were looking for. The facility is very clean and welcoming. I could probably eat off the floor in the service center. I would highly recommend Sun Motor Cars to anyone. Disservice
Took my wife's immaculately kept 2007 c230 sport (AMG tuned) for A service. I was told I needed $1800 worth of repairs associated with a broken windshield washer fluid reservoir, rear pads and rotors, brake fluid flush, and strut bushings etc similar to that noted in another post here earlier of which half of it was not needed. When I showed up at the dealership I asked to put the car on a lift (I was an engineer and trained and worked as one for years) to show me the cracked torque strut and bushings, I was told all the mechanics were gone for the day in spite of the fact that I could see some of them in the shop, one or two still working). The real sad part is that the fluid reservoir was not leaking when I took the car in for service the day before. Now I unequivocally have to replace it. Perhaps the fluid level was too low and not leaking as the alternative thought is too painful to entertain as it would be very criminal if the leak means it was broken on purpose or the problem aggravated in any way. Either way, the service also was terrible (when picking up the car, they told me they had no one able to bring me the car (around 5:00 pm) and they handed me the keys to the car and told me I could go find it in parking space 20 outside (it was not as it was in space 8). All this was quite unusual as I took my auto there and even shopped there for accessories over the years without any problem. However, I will never step inside that dealership again. Not what I expect from the brand as I have two of these cars and never have encountered a situation like this in AL, AR and now PA.

Top Notch Dealership
I will never forget my first experience at Sun Motor Cars and cant imagine going to any other dealer now. The staff was incredibility helpful and patient while I choose the perfect car and I felt at ease during the whole process. I was very impressed with the time that was taken with me on delivery to make sure I knew how to operate all of the special features. I have shopped and purchased cars from all 3 facilities of Sun (Mercedes, BMW and Porsche/Audi). If you can tolerate the managment's "we can do no wrong" attitude, you should end up satisfied.

Great service
I was denied a warranty claim at another Mercedes dealer because I had my routine maintenance performed at an independent dealer. Sun was very good about supporting my claim, first replacing a turbo, then a full engine under warranty. I can't say enough, especially since I have had no previous experience with Sun. I have purchased 5 cars from the other dealer who refused to support my claim. Needless to say, the sales manager that I deal with has egg on his face.

Terribly Disappointing...
I purchased a vehicle out of state and it has been a complete disaster. Don't get me wrong, they were extremely eager to sell the car and make sure that I got all the information I needed when I was negotiating and also they were quick to respond to calls and e-mails. Unfortunately, once I sent those signed papers back to Sun Motors, I have experienced some of the worst service in my entire life. First, Sun Motors refused to return my calls for over a week and a half. People love to transfer you to someone else, by putting you on hold, only to finally get transferred to voice-mail, which is essentially a black hole there. E-mails are not promptly returned. In fact, I am still waiting on a response regarding the carbon copies of the paperwork I signed. Even worse, I received an e-mail response that included insulting language referring to myself, that was "accidentally" forwarded to me. Finally, it has been over 2 months and I still have not received the paperwork for the car and Sun Motors did not send the title to the bank or myself. Instead, it was sent to some unknown entity called Reg USA. Overall, just an awful experience. Not recommended.

Horrible Service Experience - and dishonest
I've owned several Mercedes products over the years, and had them all serviced by Sun Motors in Mechanicsburg. Each year when the cars were in for the PA state inspection, I was always shocked, surprised and disappointed by the number of issues that Sun Motors claimed needed to be repaired to pass inspection. Shouldn't 50-$60,000 cars be engineered better? After speaking to several other people who had the same thoughts in December 2012, I took my car back to Sun Motors once again for the state inspection. When the service manager called me saying I needed $4,000 in repairs to pass inspection for things like motor mounts, struts, universal joints, etc, I decided to take my car to a different repair shop for second opinion. The second repair shop said that I didn't need any of that stuff performed. Now in 2013, I had the exact same experience with Sun Motors claiming I needed $5,700 in repairs to pass inspection. And once again, I took the car to a different inspection station for a second opinion, who required absolutely no repairs. DON'T TRUST SUN MOTORS SERVICE!
