The service here is incompetent. We test drove a car in May 2020 and it squeaked and the brakes made a clicking sound. Service looked at it once and said it was broken clip. Drove the car again, no noise. Bought the car with cash and on the way home the noise came back. Went back to service for a second time. Was told it was the brake pads. Well guess what? A week later the noise came back. It's obvious service can't fix a simple problem here. Sales also loves to sell broken cars! My 70 year old father will be fixing it now since he's more capable than this FORD Dealership!

The only reason for my giving an overall three stars is due to the service department's total lack of wearing masks, to protect themselves and their customers. I was the only person, both employee and customer, to wear a mask. Their lack of adhering to the rules in the yellow phase is unacceptable and potentially dangerous.

Alan, Our service advisors work stations are in the open air service drive with both overhead doors open. There are large plexi-glass barriers on each of the advisor's work stations, and there are safety cones placed in front of the work stations providing over six feet of social distancing. Also, every employee has their temperature taken when they arrive for work.
Do not respect you’re time, poor service!
I called this dealership to talk to them about potentially buying a used vehicle from them. All I wanted to do was come to an agreement on the car price before I rode up to the dealership since I was coming out of state. I called on a Saturday and was informed that no sales reps were available to talk to me at the time and they would schedule to have a rep call me on Monday at 3pm. So Monday gets here and it is now 4pm and I have not received my scheduled phone call. So I called the number that is used to contact the dealership and I speak with a woman who tells me no one is available at the time again, so they rescheduled for me to receive a call at 5pm on that same Monday. Now it is 6pm and I did not receive a call again. So once again I call and am told no one is available. I get a text the next morning, which is Tuesday, from the dealership number or “Scott Harrison” saying I have a appointment scheduled for 2pm. It is now 4:45pm on that Tuesday so I call once again just to sit on hold for 12 minutes, so I hang up and send them a message on there website that I would like for my time to stop being wasted so I can talk to someone about this vehicle. So when I send the message on the site about five minutes later “Scott Harrison” messages my phone, which was sitting on my desk in front of me the entire time on the charger, and says “ Thanks for your interest in a vehicle from Haldeman Ford Lincoln. I just tried calling. I know you have some specific questions, and I’ll be calling again to discuss those with you. I’m always available at this number so you can call or text Scott Harrison”. My phone never rang and I asked a question on how the vehicle was kept by the prior owner and I never got a response , plus he never called me back. So the next day comes which is Wednesday and I call AGAIN after I leave work and tell the woman this is my fourth time calling and would like to speak with someone about this vehicle. She finally connects me with someone named Corey and with the most monotone and nonchalant voice he tells me the vehicle has sold. This dealership wasted so much of my time and all I wanted to do was know the full price of the vehicle. I had someone in my family ready to test drive the vehicle for me. They claim transparency in their emails and looking forward to doing business yet I received none of that, just wasted time. I was completely ready to do business, got pre-approved by my bank before hand, had extra money on hand just incase but no just wasted my time. So for that I do not recommend this dealership to anyone.

We sincerely apologize for your experience with us. I assure you that is not how we operate or do business. At the time of your inquiry, our county was still under 'red' status due to Covid 19, and we were operating under strict restrictions, which resulted in limited hours for the store, and limited staff. There was a communication lag between our off-site phone service, which resulted in flat out missing our appointments, and for that we apologize again. Still no excuse! Hppy! Happy! Happy!!!
Somewhere you lost my latest review. I talked to Victor after my Escapewas in for service. My husband Had not told them about the weird screechy noise I was hearing. He agreed to road test the car with me. He heard the noise. Yeah!!! He warned me that it could be the transmission and gave me the approximate cost. He sent me home by shuttle. He called the next day once they had time to examine the car. He warned me that it was going to be nearly twice what he expected because it was NOT the transmission but rather the air conditioning system had "blown apart" and caused considerable damage to the engine. That said, they replaced many parts and I did get my Escape back with no whine and life expectation of MANY more years all in one day!!! I am a very happy camper after all, Victor, the head of maintenance listened to me, listened to my car during our test drive and had the mechanics resolve the problem caused by the blowup of the air conditioning system. I had the car back the same afternoon. I am grateful to the men who saved my car!!!

Buyer beware....I guess
My dealings with Haldeman Ford in Allentown would turn me off from recommending Ford completely. Salesman K was a nice guy but buyer beware. Bought a used car from Haldeman Ford that was found to have dirty oil after 3 months and 3000 miles? I was told the oil and oil filter (which is now leaking) were replaced at Haldeman Ford. Having the car checked at a good Ford dealer then opened the “can of worms”. After many attempts to contact Haldeman Ford they have obviously chosen to take no responsibility. I’m sure this will fall on deaf ears so I won’t continue my rant but the feeling of being ripped is a sour one.

Service Department!
Nothing to complain about...when I called directly me when the best time was to bring my car in for oil/filter change and I was hardly there before my car was finished. This was great because I had lots of running around to do that day and it wasn't wasted waiting for my car. Happy!

Have had my vehicles serviced at Haldeman for many years, Victor is a pleasure to work with and so is the service manager Pat Kahler. Service/repairs are done in a timely manner and the vehicle are always washed.
