These guys were nice enough to talk to, but when it came
These guys were nice enough to talk to, but when it came to having real questions i.e. "Where is a copy of the inspection report?" or "Can I have a detailed breakdown of costs?" they go silent and make you feel stupid for even asking the question... Here's their scheme: They essentially hijack your tax credit with nonsense "Add-ons" for ceramic coating and wheel reconditioning whatever that means, totally unecessary on a used car in my opinion. Also, the sale breakdown doesn't have the correct price under $25,000 to meet the tax credit so what they do is fudge the numbers to add on nearly $2000 to the "Add-ons" so you're paying $7000 for them. These guys lead you on, make you chase them and push all questions to the manager. Shady weird way to do business. Go elsewhere.

Insanely Shady I saw a car on their site that was advertised with the EV credit. I asked for an OTD breakdown, because what a lot of shady dealers will do is surprise you with add ons and fees at the end. Which in itself is bad, but for a car with the sales price right at the edge of the EV credit limit, it makes it disqualifying per the IRS: "Have a sale price of $25,000 or less. Sale price includes all dealer-imposed costs or fees not required by law." Surprise surprise - they don't do OTD breakdowns until you're there. I asked what guarantee I have of the price before doing so, to which I was told their fees are listed at the bottom of the sales page. That's incorrect - it is purposefully vague so they can add on whatever they want at whim: "Please note: Some vehicle images may feature powder-coated wheels or upgraded 20”, 21”, or 22” wheels. These enhancements are not included in the advertised price." "As an additional purchase at the time of sale the Cilajet application includes a 1-year warranty." They then told me there were some add ons on the car, but not what the price of those are. And insisted they are not hidden, but if I had to pry it out of you and still don't even know the price, that is very much hidden. I didn't bother and made my purchase elsewhere. There's only one reason not to give an OTD breakdown - you have something to hide.

Beware of Unprofessional Staff and Price Gouging at
Beware of Unprofessional Staff and Price Gouging at California Beemer Tesler in Costa Mesa. I had a terrible experience at this dealership. The staff was unprofessional, and the manager was especially rude—texting on his phone during our conversation and acting like helping me was a burden. Worse, they quoted me $31,500 for a car listed online at $24,990 -$20,990 After EV tax credit before california taxes and fees. —a $10,000 markup for the same vehicle (same stock number and VIN). Even after I questioned it multiple times, they wouldn’t budge or explain. It felt like a blatant scam. Save yourself the frustration—double-check prices before visiting and walk away if anything seems off. I wish I had.

I should’ve read the reviews before I came out to look at
I should’ve read the reviews before I came out to look at some cars. The worst experience I’ve ever had. We were greeted by a young girl with a crop top, belly baring shirt who had no knowledge of any of the cars because it was her first week on the job. Unprofessional demeanor and no one was able to help her answer the questions we had until we got so annoyed we decided to just leave. False advertisement on their website!!!! They add a mandatory ceramic coating on all cars that is NOT mentioned anywhere on their website. Just ridiculous how these people do business. Buyer beware they are big scammer!!! Don’t waste your time!!

Bait and switch.
Bait and switch. Called ahead of time to confirm that the price listed is truly indeed the price you'll pay for the car as I'm all too familiar with the shady tricks some dealerships will try to pull. Jorge confirmed that some upsell options will be offered, but they are OPTIONAL. I drove all the way to the dealership and was told by Kiana that the ceramic coating is NOT optional. I told her that Jorge said they are and she tried to claim he wouldn't say such a thing. Little does she know, I record all my calls. When presented with this recording which proves that Jorge lied and said the add-ons are optional, sales manager Rich said there's nothing he can do. Shady shady dishonest people. Don't go here.

Misrepresentation or fraud: CA Beemers sold me a car
Misrepresentation or fraud: CA Beemers sold me a car with a clean CarFax (2021) and when I went to sell it (2025), it turned out the car had damage on its CarFax from 6 months prior to my purchase. When I sold the car, the negative CarFax meant I received $12,000 less than the amount I would have gotten with a clean CarFax, like I thought I'd purchased from CA Beemers. I have reported this situation to the Better Business Bureau as I've been told the dealership is responsible for this misrepresentation/fraud and so far CA Beemers is trying to skirt its responsibility. Buyer beware, CA Beemers is not on your side. I will never use them again: 1) I can't trust them and 2) when confronted with an issue, they won't take responsibility.

I called on a 2022 Tesla Y that was on Autotrader.
I called on a 2022 Tesla Y that was on Autotrader. I spoke to Carlos. He seemed unsure of himself and did not really understand what a tax credit was when he was explaining how they take the federal tax credit and apply it to the purchase price. But be that as it may I was fine to come look at the car and I specifically asked him if that specific car was on the lot. I even said to him that I realize dealerships often run low ball offers in an online ad and then say the car recently sold. He said no, no the car is here. I said ok I will be there in about an hour. I arrive and ask for Carlos. He seems a bit confused as to what car I am looking for so I show him the car on my phone. And what do you think little Carlos said, "Oh that car was just driven off the lot". I laughed and said, look you and I both know that is not true. I said I am fine to look at other cars but lets not start this relationship off with you obviously lying to me. He sheepishly looked down and Im thinking ok he is gonna come clean and we can push forward, but no he doubles down on the lie. To this I say Carlos I understand these things get done in dealerships and you may feel you need to lie to make a sale but just come clean and we can push forward on this. It was obvious he was lying and that this may be something his management taught him. But he just could not admit the obvious truth. He lied to me to get me into the dealership. And there are no prices on any of the cars in the lot. This is always trouble and you should run the other way. I definitely would not do business with them.
