Great 2011 infiniti g37 convertible turned out to be wrecked before . Advertised for 19000. When i came Mark said 24000. Sale is over. Thats bs. Car was... wrecked, redone and was a short term loaner car as it said on carfax. Trunk wont even close on this one. Shady . Wont buy from them
I spent four hours negotiating on a car that wasn't even the correct vehicle to begin with. The salesman and finance managers did a bait and switch on... me by claiming they didn't "notice the vin number was for a different Hyundai Kona" and told me that everything we had just negotiated was for naught. The main finance manager swore to me in his fakest sincerity that, “at this point I can definitely assure you that you are getting the best deal on this car,” only because the model I wanted turned out to be more expensive however, the interest rate was still astronomical and they pushed the loan out to 72 months to lower the payments. After 6 hours, I threw in the towel, signed the papers and decided to refinance elsewhere. These people are a bunch of hustlers that try to read your personality the minute you walk in the door, exhaust you to the point of surrendering and then have their managers claim plausible deniability as some kind of consolation for the colossal amount of time wasted.
My experience was pretty terrible. I came in to Hyundai Catonsville with my 2015 Elantra on May 29th. The car has a sluggish transmission and an engine... that's surging consistently. When I arrived at the service area at 1:15 for a 1:30 appointment, I was told by a gentleman named Ben that the entire diagnosing process would take about an hour. I asked specifically about that more than once, as I had to pick up my daughter at 5:00 pm. I assumed there would be plenty of time based on what I was told. Two and a half hours later another service technician, Doug, finally approached and told me what they had discovered. He said they were unable to detect the issues I had been experiencing. However, my battery was showing "poor" when they tested it, and that might be the cause of my problems. Key word- might. Replacing it would cost $330. I knew from my research that's almost $150 more than the average for replacing a battery in my particular vehicle. When I mentioned that, Doug said if I didn't replace my battery there I would be charged $135 as a diagnostic fee, so I might as well do it there instead of going somewhere cheaper. Gentlemen, you literally held my car hostage, and made an extra expenditure of $150 the only sensible way to retrieve my car. When I agreed to let them replace the battery, I asked Doug how long it would take, as I was already there more than double the estimated time I had been given. He told me half an hour. An hour and a half later I finally approached Doug to find out what was going on. At this point it was past 5, and I had been forced to make other plans for my daughter. He checked, and, looking embarrassed, came back to me and told me the car was back in the lot. Who know how long the work had been done. Also, he said, I had a brake light out, but they had replaced that for me for free. He also said he had been able to get the cost of the battery replacement down to $220 for me. That sounded great! And far more reasonable than the initial estimate. When I went to pay, however, I discovered that I HAD in fact been charged for the light replacement, and that the cost was NOT $220 but, in fact, more than $330. When I went back to Doug and said as much, he looked at me and said "Yeah, sorry." and went back to helping another customer. Finally, when I left the building to find an attendant to retrieve my car, there was no one to be found. I finally did find him he brought the car to me, only to get out and leave a stain on the seat and the smell of unwashed rear end and body odor inside the car. I drove home with the windows open, and had to clean and detail the interior to remove the stains and smell. I'm sure that sounds minor and laughable, but after everything else that happened, this was a truly terrible impression to leave me with. It's now a week later, and the car is still exhibiting the same problems. Problems that, if you sit in the car and leave it running for less than a minute, you can easily detect. I have no idea how the service people there were unable to detect ANYTHING after testing and driving the car. This leads me to believe that the techs there were uninterested in fixing the car's true problems, and instead wasted my time and money with a fix that was not part of the problem and solved literally nothing, but was much easier and cheaper for the dealership. I am, truth be told, completely furious about it. I now have to waste even more of my time and money fixing an issue that I trusted Hyundai Catonsville to take the time to find and fix properly, the first time. To recap, after nearly 5 hours at the dealership with very little communication, being manipulated with pricing that went from $330 to $220 to $330 again, and made filthy by the lot attendant, I will not be returning to this location
Sadly, having previously praised this dealer, I found work described on the service sheet had not been carried out. The tire rotation HAD NOT been performed.... I know this for sure as the front right wheel had light damage from where it had been kerbed. I'm now highly skeptical any of the work detailed has been carried out.
Price quotes kept dropping. First told $3000 rebate then $2500. Then told $2000 discount which was changed to $1500. Got a lot less for my trade in than... I thought because Antwerpen kept sending me mail, wanting o buy my car. When I was ready to deal, my car I was told would probably go to auction so I got very little.
Need a car ASAP but lost a week with these guys - they had an Elantra for $13k sale price, but the day before I had to drive there I get told the car adds... up to almost 19k, because that listing price is the most optimistic (unrealistic I'd say) case, with all the incentives a normal person wouldn't qualify for. Why are they wasting their and my time?!
This is by far one of the worst experiences I've had with a dealership when it comes to the communications involved with purchasing a car. I lived out... of state and was interested in purchasing a car. The swiftness of the response of the initial contact was excellent (of course). That was about it. I let them know which vehicle I was interested in and let them know that I was four hours away and wouldn't come test drive until I needed to. I was handed off to 3 different people, each who seemed to lack any care if I purchased the car or not. I had to reach out to them multiple times to even get a response. After not receiving any responses on purchasing the car, I gave up. I was a buyer who had cash and was ready to purchase that week. I wouldn't recommend them if you would like swift, or any for that matter communication. Last time I look for a car at this dealership.
Everyone here a super-friendly and makes the process of buying a new car very easy. Great family atmosphere and no runaround. Took great care of us.
The service was completed in as timely a manner as possible. The effort was coordinated by Ms. Watkowski who is example knowledge and excellence added... to a kind gentle nature. She overcame some organizational difficulties in very professional manner that would have overwhelmed less capable men and women. It is this type of excellence combined with concern for the customer that would make me choose this dealership first in selecting a new car in the future.
You should be proud to have Carla as your employee.,bright, cheerful and plenty of knowledge of jeep workings. Will return in the spring for future service....
