I purchased my 2016 Land Rover LR4 in December 2023 with only 27,000 miles on it and I spent approximately 5K above the market price because I thought that buying a car directly from Land Rover would have been safer. I was wrong! Since the day of purchased, my car has now 33.500 miles in total and I had to take it to the dealership at least 6 times and spend already out of pocket approximately 7K in repairs on top of the 7K for the extended warranty that they told me to buy which it seams not to cover anything. The list of the repairs performed goes on and on already until, June 25th 2025 when only a week after I picked up my car from Land Rover New Rochelle, we notice that there was another leak so I called Land Rover New Rochelle and they told me that they need to see the car to evaluate the damage. Due to what happened in the past year with Land Rover New Rochelle, I decided to take my car to Land Rover Manhattan and this is what they told me: "Hello this is Liz over at Land Rover we spoke this morning about your vehicle ac concern , the technician was able to figure out problem. The condenser for the air conditioner needs to be replaced $ the cost $4519 plus tax Also recommended the following: Lower control arms due to them being worn $ $4144 plus tax An alignment $400 And both side market light bulbs $ 192.00" Basically with these additional 9K in repairs and the 14K already spent the total come up to 23K in repairs. My car was part of their CERTIFIED PREOWNED CAR program which is a joke because as soon as you walked out of the dealership, you are in your own. The only think that they do, is sending this automatic response for any negative post they receive. "Hi, thank you for leaving this detailed feedback about your experience with our dealership. We care about all our customers and wish to restore your good faith in our dealership. If you'd be willing, our General Manager would like to speak with you at (914) 517-0772 to discuss ways to improve your experience with our dealership moving forward. Thank you for your input, and we hope to hear from you soon." As requested, I must have called Rui Moreira, their general manager at least 15 times in the past 2 months but, every time I call, he was busy assisting another client or he was away from his desk so I decided to send him an e-mail. To show you that they have no clue of what's going on, I e-mailed their general Manager and this below was his response from June 6th 2025. "Good morning, Thank you for the email. I will have my service manager reach out to you. As far as this email it did not come from me but it is an Autonation service plan. I can have my finance manager reach out if you are interested in a service plan. Let me know, Rui Moreira General Manager 914-740-2803 Moreirar1@autonation.com" Do you think anyone contacted me after the General Manager's sent me his response? Of course Not! I called my self and asked for the service manager and he told me that no one talked to him and he had no clue on what to do........

I just picked up my LR4 from service last week at Land

I just picked up my LR4 from service last week at Land Rover New Rochelle and today liquid start leaking from under the car. Summary of my Situation - I purchased a 2016 Land Rover LR4 in December 28 - 2023 with only 27,000 miles. - The dealer claimed it was in excellent condition and that the previous owner kept the car in a garage. Since then: - My car has been in for service 6 times already since December 2024 and one time, just 3 weeks after the previous service, we had to call the tow-truck because the water pump broke. - I purchased a $7,000 extended warranty (which didn’t cover all repairs). - I paid another ~$6,500 out-of-pocket for repairs not covered by the warranty (water pump). I'm still having issues with this new leak. The dealership keeps saying, “Bring it in for diagnostics,” even though it's been diagnosed multiple times already. Was the Car Properly Inspected Before Sale? A reputable dealership, especially one selling under a “certified pre-owned” (CPO) or “guaranteed used” banner, should have conducted a multi-point inspection. 🚩 Red flag: A car with this low mileage that keeps breaking down shortly after purchase suggests it was either: - Not inspected thoroughly. - Or inspected, but defects were overlooked or not disclosed. Reporting every single issue I'm having with my car its upsetting and exhausting at the same time but, I don't want other people to go through what I had to go through with Land Rover New Rochelle for the past year.

Not My Local Dealer… but Now My Favorite!

Not My Local Dealer… but Now My Favorite! I’m not from New Rochelle and had never been to LRNR before. I was scrambling late Friday to find a very specific setup for my wife’s car—and boom, Land Rover New Rochelle had it. Francis gave me a quick call, we chatted, and decided to meet the next morning. I pulled in Saturday and instantly felt a different vibe. Where my local dealers usually feel like a board meeting, LRNR felt more like a cool lounge. Relaxed, welcoming—way less “why so serious?” I won’t lie—working with a new dealer made me a little hesitant at first. But Manager Vito and Sales Associate Anthony? Total pros. Straight shooters, fast movers, zero nonsense. We made the deal happen without the usual back-and-forth marathon. A few hours later, I surprised my wife with her dream car—and got the biggest smile ever. Honestly, this was the smoothest, fastest car-buying experience I’ve ever had. If you’re shopping for a Land Rover, do yourself a favor—check out Land Rover of New Rochelle. Even if it’s not your local, it might just become your favorite.

I had a security deposit placed on a Range Rover here for

I had a security deposit placed on a Range Rover here for over a MONTH. The sales representative Alex was nice until after the deposit I kept getting the run around that the car has a “blown gasket”. Shady business practice I called to speak to general manager and management consistently checking on the status and no returned phone calls nor follow up . GM Vito said may wholesale the vehicle, if issues never responded back I feel like they sold the vehicle to who they wanted to because they didn’t to the person who had a deposit me & they didn’t allow me the chance to buy the vehicle whole sale if that was the case!!! I am saddened that we still live in times where we are not treated equal, I work hard for everything and I deserve fair business practices !

So that people don’t forget.

So that people don’t forget. Reposting a similar issue with Land Rover New Rochelle from 1 year ago. April 26, 2024 Totally Crooked - don't buy from them - they try to not give you your second set of keys to save themselves some change and they completely lie to you and do not honor their promises when selling you additional warranties. They lie specifically about: what is covered, what is covered by them, and how issues get resolved. If you try to get the second key your owed, they dodge your calls and claim there is a shortage. I waited months and had to come in and make a big stink to actually get the second key while there because they claimed it was a replacement key and not one of the initial two that come with the car. If something is covered under any warranty that is purchased, such as the dent protection plan, they dodge your calls (they don't return them even when voicemails are left), and tell you when you bring the car in in person that a different party handles it. I'm ok with all of it, including my time that they wasted by having me come in... HOWEVER, I am not ok with them ripping me off and don't want anyone else to be ripped off. They know you have money if you're buying a land rover, and they will exploit you and ignore your calls whenever it will cost them a dime. There is no accountability. Don't trust their finance managers either. I would have loved to buy a second LR from them if not for them being the sleaziest dealership I have ever worked with. And I've bought and leased a lot of cars in my day. LESS by RoverFan6

Buyer Beware: Disappointing Experience with Land Rover

Buyer Beware: Disappointing Experience with Land Rover New Rochelle 16 months ago, I purchased a used 2016 Land Rover with only 27,000 miles from Land Rover New Rochelle. The car seemed to be in excellent condition, and I chose to pay a premium over market value specifically because it came from an authorized Land Rover dealership. Since the vehicle was already 8 years old, the manager strongly recommended purchasing an extended warranty for $5,700, which was supposed to cover the vehicle for the next five years. I took the advice, hoping it would offer added protection. Unfortunately, just 2 months after my first yearly routine service and only 5,000 miles later, smoke started coming out from the front of the vehicle. In minutes, the water pump and other components failed. The total repair bill came to $5,700 — ironically, the same amount I paid for the extended warranty. Yet the warranty company only covered $1,700, leaving me with a $4,000 out-of-pocket expense. I’m sharing this to caution others: don’t assume that buying from a certified dealership or purchasing their extended warranty will protect you. If you’re considering buying from Land Rover New Rochelle, I highly recommend bringing your own trusted mechanic to inspect the vehicle first.

Hello, we regret your experience with us here, but are glad you brought this to our attention. We strive to maintain excellent business relations at our dealership. Please call our General Manager at (914) 517-0772 to discuss ways we can work towards resolving this issue to your satisfaction. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Consumer response

I sent few messages to your general Manager and he told me that he was going to call the insurance company but he never got back to me. Over the past several months, I brought my car in multiple times including before and after my scheduled yearly maintenance and provided your mechanics with detailed informations and videos evidence of a persistent whining, squealing and rattling noise coming from under the hood. Despite keeping my car for several days each time, your service department consistently returned it to me with reassurances that the noise was "normal" or "nothing to worry about", citing vague explanations like a loose screw. However, just two months after my last service with you, smoke began coming out from under the hood while I was driving on the highway. The water pump had completely failed, putting my family safety at risk and forcing us to call a tow truck and spend over $4,000 in repairs, a cost that could have been avoided had your team properly diagnosed the issue when I first raised it. Notably, the very noise I had been reporting for months has completely disappeared after the water pump replacement, clearly indicating that the issue was misdiagnosed or ignored by your stuff. I trusted your dealership to thoroughly inspect and properly service my vehicle, especially after being so specific and proactive in reporting the symptoms. This situation reflects a serious lapse in professionalism and accountability, and I expect an appropriate response. This is something your mechanics should read; A failing water pump in a Range Rover can make a variety of noises, including whining, squealing, or rattling. These noises are often accompanied by other symptoms like overheating, coolant leaks, or steam coming from under the hood. A professional mechanic can help determine the exact cause of the noise and whether the water pump needs replacement. Possible noises associated with a failing Range Rover water pump: • Whining: A high-pitched, harmonic whining noise can indicate a failing water pump bearing or belt issue. • Squealing: If the serpentine belt is slapping against the pulley due to resistance from a failing pump, you might hear a squealing noise. • Rattling: A rattling noise from under the hood can be another sign of a failing water pump. • Clicking or tapping: A clicking or tapping sound that increases with speed could also be related to the water pump or other engine components. Other signs of a failing water pump: • Coolant leaks: Look for coolant on the ground or a buildup of gelled coolant deposits. • Overheating: If the engine is overheating, the water pump may not be circulating coolant effectively. • Steam from under the hood:Steam coming from under the hood can indicate a serious coolant leak and potential water pump failure. It's important to note that these noises and signs can also be caused by other issues, so a proper diagnosis by a mechanic is recommended. A failing water pump can lead to overheating and damage to other engine components, so it's best to address the issue promptly.

Consumer response

Subject: Ongoing Lack of Response and Accountability. For the past three weeks, I have not received any response to my inquiries. This continued silence is both disappointing and unacceptable. The last time I contacted the New Rochelle dealership, I was told that the manager was working on securing a better reimbursement from the insurance company that issued my extended warranty. However, no one followed up with me, and I was ultimately forced to pay approximately $4,000 out of the total $5,700 bill. While the dealership seems to be placing the blame on the insurance company, I have to ask: where is your responsibility in this situation? What happened to the standards behind your Certified Pre-Owned vehicles that you advertise so prominently? You sold me a vehicle that had been purchased from another customer without conducting the proper diagnostics beforehand. This clearly contradicts your promise of selling “guaranteed” and reliable used cars. If those guarantees are part of your brand, then it’s only fair to expect the dealership to take accountability when those promises fall short. I expect a clear explanation of how you plan to address and resolve this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

The Service Department Advisors are Deceitful and

The Service Department Advisors are Deceitful and Dishonest - they added service I didn’t request and I was charged for Services I didn’t need! I have a 2y old Truck that did not need 21k service, I informed the Rep. “please do whatever is under warranty”. I paid $5K for a Warranty that covers a lot, but also there is fine print, got that! But, I never asked and/or needed extra work - and I was charged an insane amount of money for this service! To not cause issue or make a scene, I spoke with the rep to find out why all of these services were added and proceeds to run down a list and fumble his words, because he knew he screwed me over - WHO CHARGES $23 to change a battery in the remote key! I could have changed that, it’s $1 for a watch battery! Point is, this rep and the service department is terribly Dishonest and others need to know about Land Rover of New Rochelle and any other Dealership Service Department that snakes ppl out of money for xxxx they don’t need…..

UPDATE!! I have been calling that number for days and the operator takes my information and NO ONE calls back. She gave the Name "Rui Moreira" who she mentioned is the GM - I asked to speak with the "Manager of the Service Department" she tells me, "There isnt a manager, he left the company" etc. So, for you to reply is not very helpful - i will call everyday until someone returns my call!
