I reached out to Sandberg Volvo about leasing a XC90 and

I reached out to Sandberg Volvo about leasing a XC90 and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I live 50 miles away and requested to negotiate the lease remotely to avoid an unnecessary trip. Initially, the salesperson insisted on in‐person negotiations, so I contacted the sales manager, Bill Tapscott, directly via email. At first, Bill provided a counter offer that seemed reasonable. However, when I discovered a $1500 discrepancy in incentives—amounts he had previously dismissed—I sent over proof that they should apply. Bill then agreed to the incentive but completely stopped responding to my follow-up emails. When I mentioned that another dealership was willing to honor my original terms, Bill replied with a rude, sarcastic email. This unprofessional and inconsistent behavior made the entire process frustrating and a complete waste of time. I cannot recommend Sandberg Volvo based on my experience

When someone else drives off with your car.

Would give 0 stars if it were possible. Was very upset with the service and the final outcome of a HUGE mistake made on this dealership. We initially went in and did not buy a car, I did some research on cars that were on their way to the dealership and also alt picked out the car we wanted. The salesman did not find this option for us. Once we sat down and talked to them we decided to go for the car. We put down a deposit for a car and were told we would get it mid October. Shook 3 different peoples hands and had the finance person come talk to us. We call mid October, the sales person lied to us and told us they double booked the car, but we had put down an offer first. My partner goes to the dealership and the car is not even there, they sold the car to someone else. Car wasn't even on the lot anymore. When we spoke to them about it, the sales manager said that this happens to them often. So we asked what they are doing to fix it, and all he did was repeat the process of how to buy a car. With no explanation of how to they are going to fix this. Well there was zero resolution, what they offered us for their mess up was petty. We would essentially have to wait 9 months for the car. I realize people make mistakes but the way this was handled was also very poor. We did not end up with a car, and will not be buying or supporting them. Would not recommend, sales was poor, process was poor and resolution was poor.

BEST CAR PURCHASE EXPERIENCE EVER!!

BEST CAR PURCHASE EXPERIENCE EVER!! Tyler Glaze,David, and DJ Gray, were a great team !! Walked in today and traded my Mercedes E 400 + some cash, for a XC 90 T6 AWD 6-S. Test drove some others, but this was the one for us. These guys LOVE doing business. Positive attitude, knowledgeable, patient and very pleasant. I first went to a Mercedes Dealership, and they didn’t seem very interested in making a trade, OR selling a car. Sandberg Volvo has created a unique culture within its organization!!

Disappointed

We recently purchased a 2013 Honda Pilot from Sandberg Volvo. According to their mechanical inspection, they told us there was nothing wrong with the car. In the past, when we've purchased used cars from a dealership, we have trusted their mechanical inspections as sound and truthful. We made a serious mistake in trusting Sandberg's inspection. We have discovered there's a list of issues with this car (overdue timing belt change, leaking water pump, leaking power steering pump and power steering rack, compliance bushings, and right front axle seal)--to the tune of $7000. We have learned our lesson the hard way about trusting a dealership inspection on a used car. We would not purchase a car from Sandberg Volvo again.

We strive to provide a positive car buying experience for every person, and it appears that we did not fully achieve that during your visit. Customer service is a top priority for our dealership, and it's important that our guests feel at ease during the entire process. We hope we can earn your business back in the future. Save time and start at Sandberg Volvo!

Reviews are personal experiences that others may consider so they can make informed decisions before and when interacting with a business. I first contacted Sandberg Volvo on a Friday morning, but our search began many days before. My wife and I previously owned a XC60 and we were set on the new Recharge Extended Range. We searched all dealers in WA, ID and OR looking for the best package and price. These models are limited and we expected a different experience than when we bought our first Volvo when the market was “normal.” Friday morning I combed the 250 mile dealer radius (we live in Olympia) and found a model we had not seen at any other dealer; a Polestar Engineered. Assuming this was ordered, pre-sold, or not available, I inquired about it through their automated buying process. Just before the dealership opened I received an email from sales consultant Fouad Fares and within minutes we were texting and conversing on the phone. Fouad and manager Bill Tapscott tailored the deal, we drove up the next day and the entire process was simple, transparent and by far the best car buying experience. All the staff were friendly and DJ in finance was also a pleasant surprise. We never felt pressured, all of our questions were answered and we left feeling a little bewildered because it was not at all what we expected in the best way. The only downside to the whole process was the drive from Olympia to Lynnwood. It was worth it and the drive back was amazing in our new XC60 Polestar Engineered Extended Range! Thank you again Fouad, Bill and DJ! We’re definitely making the drive again for our next Volvo! Hopefully this review gives you the confidence to consider and start your search with Sandberg Volvo. It will save you a lot of time and you won’t be disappointed.

Volvo Quality & Safety and #1

My wife & I purchased a 2021 XC40 Inscription and a 2021 XC60 Inscription. We like these cars so much we have a sign in our garage that reads, "Volvo Parking Only". We've had a lot of excellent cars in our lives, but the Volvos to this point have been very impressive and the safety technology helped prevent us from being in accidents at least twice in less than a year. With all of the traffic today you can't get too much safety technology. We've had 1 car serviced and it took us less than 1 hour and the service director was efficient and personable. Sandberg Volvo Cars means to please and that is obvious.

Totally Incompetent

My Volvo new 2021 XC40 Recharge had multiple issues, just 2 days after taking delivery of the XC40 Recharge center console crashed and reset to factory default, and lost navigation display in driver side. Even after a few visits to dealer Sandberg, issues are not fully resolved. You see, for some reason after Sandberg fixed the driver navigation display issue, the car is stuck in the “guest profile”, I am unable to login. At this point, Sandberg is unable to fix the issue properly and I am very frustrated that nothing really works properly, I can’t even login to Volvo Car website. I heard about this about Volvo, but, good grief this very frustrating that dealer can't properly fix the issues.

comfort and honesty

Feeling comfortable when considering and purchasing a new car is not something I expect. My experience at Sandberg Volvo was just that - comfortable. Sales representative, Fouad Fares, greeted me when I walked into the showroom and, from that point on, it was the best car buying experience I have ever undertaken. Fouad was amiable and quick to answer any question I asked. More than anything I felt comfortable and not pressured with my decision making. There was a distinct impression of honesty and a desire to help me settle on a car I truly would enjoy with the additional options best suited to my needs. Thank you, Fouad. I have been a Volvo car owner for over 45 years. I trust Volvo. I trust the excellent staff and management at Sandberg Volvo.
