I recently started the process of purchasing a vehicle from Travers Auto Plaza in Florissant, Mo and unfortunately, it has been the worst experience I... have ever had as a consumer. Within weeks of driving the 2013 BMW 550i off the lot, the car started having major issues and I reached out to the dealership only to be disappointed with the service that I am currently receiving. I contacted the dealership within weeks of possessing my new car because I started noticing signs that the vehicle may need repair. After closer examination, I researched that the car had a loud blower motor, rapid oil consumption, smoking exhaust, and that’s only the things I noticed within the first few weeks. I contacted the sales representative and explained the issues with the car, and instead of addressing the mechanical issues, the salesman said, he wanted to move forward with finalizing the contract and financials for the deal before they would help me figure out what’s going on with the car that I am obviously unhappy with. I contacted the salesman to receive an update on my situation. The call ended with the salesman promising to schedule an appointment for my car to be examined in their shop. Finally, a meeting was scheduled with the salesman and his boss. I arrived at the dealership (30 Min Drive) and I was told that they failed to schedule an appointment and asked if we could arrange for them to pick up my vehicle the next day. I then asked if they would return my trade-in and downpayment since the deal isn't currently finalized and they refused. The next day comes and nobody reached out to me about picking up the vehicle I had to reach out only to be told someone will be coming to pick up the vehicle on Monday we will see if they follow through on that since they have failed to do so in every area possible. I will update the review as the process goes on, but currently, we have a car that shows signs of expensive repairs that the dealership had knowledge of when selling the car and more issues down the road also they are unwilling to help me get into another vehicle or return my trade-in and down payment. I hope we can come to a resolution so that I can update this review but currently I strongly discourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle with Travers Auto Plaza.

I purchased my first vehicle, a 2014 Hyundai Sonata, from GMT in Florissant, MO back in 2017 and had a very pleasant experience. So after my car was recently... totaled, I felt comfortable going back to them for a new car purchase. However, my experience this time around was AWFUL!! I met with Jeff on 11/15/19 and explained to him that I was looking for something comparable in size to my old car, but was also looking to lower my monthly payments. Instead, he put me in something much smaller with a higher monthly payment. I made the mistake of telling him that I had suffered a head injury and due to this, I feel that he took full advantage of the situation. I had specifically stated that I didn't want a payment any higher than $270-280/month, and he said that he was going to show me some cars in that range. This was NOT, however, what he did. I asked him after we had taken the car for a test drive if the vehicle was in the price range that we had discussed and he replied, "Yes Ma'am." It wasn't until after I had gotten halfway through signing the papers that I found out that he had not been honest with me. Even worse, this car has mechanical issues such as with the power windows, and squeaky breaks, as well as deep scratches all over the body. These are things that I had already made them aware of, but was only given advice on how I could resolve it on my own. And after today's visit to try to reach a resolution, I was spoken to in a very disrespectful manner by management, where I was told in front of witnesses that it's not THEIR duty to do a psychiatric evaluation on me, referring to my concussion. That statement was heartless and cruel, and once again left me feeling very hurt, disrespected, and disappointed in GMTAUTOSALES!!! As a result, I am providing this dealership with the lowest possible score and I will also be sharing my experience on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Yelp, as well as other social media outlets. I will also warn anyone considering a new car purchase to stay as far away from your dealership as possible, and to go somewhere else that won't take advantage of them or belittle them!!
I would like to say thanks to the GMT team, they are amazing! Unlike other dealerships that I've been to they really care about customer satisfaction.... My salesman Tony C. was extremely helpful and made sure I got the exact car that I was looking for. Team GMT!!
