I’ve purchased my past two cars through Sheldon Motors. Corey and his staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. I got a great deal on both my cars!

BUYERS BEWARE
BUYERS BEWARE: This may be lengthy so bear with me. If you walk into this place and hear phrases such as "This is the best deal we've had in a long time" or "This car is in fantastic condition for its age", turn around and run out of the door. Back in December of 2017, I purchased a 2007 Toyota Camry from Sheldon Motors. Within two weeks, the car was back at the dealer with the check engine light on, reading multiple misfires. They took the car, changed the spark plugs, and gave it back to me "all ready to go". Fast-forward less than a month, the check engine light is back on, and I have to return back to the dealer. They took the car in, cleared the codes, and told me that all was well. Roughly a month later, with the check engine light going in and out and "the car running fine", I broke down on Rt.1. I took the car back in for the third time in two months, only to have them tell me that an ignition coil completely melted and needed to be replaced, "which was probably what was causing the earlier issues". Cool, great, we finally figured it out. Nope. A few weeks later the car is back in, check engine light back on. I speak with the owner, Corey, about how the car is losing coolant (I needed to refill it after I heard air being blown around under the hood, only to find the reservoir was now empty), and about how smoke is coming out of the tailpipe every now and then. His solution, pressure test the system. All good on that front. "Everything seems fine, the pressure test didn't show any leaks". A month later, the car is back in another shop for a second opinion. Here they replaced a bad water pump and thermostat, but wanted to dig a little deeper because they knew the car wasn't running right. Now we’re in the first week of May and the car just doesn’t feel right at all. I take it back in and they tear the engine apart to find the head gasket was bad the entire time, and to make matters worse, it was "band aided" together using silicone. It was what was causing every issue that I had. The engine misfires, non-existent, it was the head gasket pushing those codes. The ignition coil burning off, head gasket leak creating too much heat. But that’s not all. Because of this dealership and their mechanic's gross negligence, TELLING ME to drive the car and that it was fine, irrevocable damage occurred to the engine that is causing me to have to do a FULL ENGINE SWAP. I bought an $8,000 car which is now in need of a $3-4,000 repair, LESS THAN 6 MONTHS after I purchased the vehicle. What does Corey have to say about it? "We never opened up the engine so none of that is on us." Great loyalty to your customers... but not really, no. This place is undeserving of any of the good reviews they've received. O, and the PWI warranty they push so hard for you to buy, I have one. They aren’t covering the engine swap. I would steer away from this place if I was a prospective buyer, it just isn't worth the trouble.

Excellent experience
The experience at Sheldon Motors was fantastic. Cory and his staff were great help and made the entire process very east. I usually do not write reviews but i am very pleased by this experience. If anyone is ever looking for a used car, this is the place to go. They got my loan approved and had my car fully detailed and serviced!! :)

We would need more information to resolve the consumers issue but independent dealers are not authorized to preform a Manufactures recall. We explain that they can make an appointment with the Dealer who is authorized to do the repair at no charge to the consumer. I believe there is a communication problem here and it isn't a question that we refused to do repairs. Please set the record accordingly or have Zach contact us @732 254 3933
