Stellantis is recalling 97,000-plus Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer SUVs for inaccessible third-row seat belts.

Jeep parent company Stellantis’ latest recall involves the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer luxury SUVs and an issue that may interfere with the vehicles’ airbags.

When properly equipped, these 2023 SUVs offer excellent all-around capability with maximum tow ratings ranging from north of 8,000 pounds to 10,000 pounds.

While the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L’s added space and polished powertrain exceeded expectations during the trip, its fuel economy fell short (this time).

It was only one model year ago that Jeep debuted its biggest SUVs with the launch of the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer three-row models, but the brand is going even bigger for 2023 with new long-wheelbase versions of both SUVs making their debut at the 2022 New York International Auto Show.
