Drives Like Melted Butter

Best vehicle I’ve ever owned, like many I had questions and concerns with any all-EV vehicle. While the range is not comparable with a ICE yet, the drive and availability of charging stations throughout the country more than put my fears to rest. No gas, no emissions, no oil changes, minimal maintenance, full use of HOV lane...and yes I could go on.

Very, Very Good EV With excellent fit n finish

Our eTron has become our most-used car, and wife and I have a BMW 750 and a BMW 650 Conv. It’s comfortable with more than adequate performance with its instant torque. In hot SWFla we like the remote start of the AC from our smart phone. The fast charging @150 kW is a plus charging batteries in minutes. In our area we have a few destination chargers so it’s nice to get a free charge to top off at these places.

Genuinely one of the best cars I've ever owned

WIth the electric car revolution upon us, it's great to now have options, that are more suited to most of our tastes, and that aren't going to cost an arm and a leg. I've been an Audi fan for years, and cannot move away from their lineup. the e-tron was my 7th Audi that I've owned, and it has totally spoiled me for anything in the future. The cockpit and MMI system is rival to none. It's so easy to use, and sleek and ergonomic. The electric ride of the car is an instantaneous go with a tap of the pedal. The ride is smooth, like all of the other Audi cars, and is just fun to drive. Especially on long hauls. You really feel like you're in a comfortable SUV, able to load and go with any and all you need. Charging stations are everywhere, so you never have to worry about making it to the next charger. Heated/Cooled seats, climate control, entertainment, leather seats that hug you, navigation at voice command, Alexa to control every aspect of your drive, you name it, this car does it. You will absolutely love this car!

ETRON!!!

The ETron by Audi is one of the most comfortable, innovated, and awesome car in the market. The driver assistance package is great and it recognizes the environment while driven.

Etron Troubles

In my 3rd month of ownership - I drove it for about 20 days - it’s now been at the dealer for almost 45 days - been at dealer since dec 26. Now Feb 5 - battery cooling mechanism was defective - think it has about 1500 miles on it - battery won’t charge anywhere near the 205 miles - set at 100% will only charge to 161-175 ish miles - been trying to work w Audi with ZERO response - sensors and now the back taillight panels have shorted out I think the battery got cooked when the cooling somehow failed so now it won’t charge up and the electronics seems to be getting smoked. Dealer of course can’t fix and on charging they say 170 miles on 100 percent charge is fine. Not really and if that’s the case it should be discussed in sales process. I’ve given up. Car is sharp but lousy with the tech. At purchase Audi was quick to bash the Tesla range as unrealistic and said their 204 miles was “ real world” as people would use the car. NOT TRUE. Not only does it not charge to anywhere near 200 miles god help you if you want heat or use the headlights. I think the real range - if you are just using minimal heat/phone charge and want to drive at night - is maybe 150. But mine it’s more like 120 since full charge is say 170 Dealers are completely unable to service these cars and think this is a great example of a car being rushed into production to capitalize on growing sales trends. I’ve called Audicare (those people are saints), the dealer, and have even tried to get to Dan Weissland the president of Audi USA with zero responses. I feel bad for the service folks - they are trying to tow the company line but are empathetic given their lack of ability to service or explain the drop off in charging. This was my 4th Audi I’ve owned and always loved the cars/brand. My last car was a 13 q7 diesel and when the diesel scandal hit friends would ask how bad it was to deal with - and I sang the praises of Audi in how they handled and fixed my car - and told them Audi made it easy. In retrospect I think that’s because they were sued and the courts and US government forced them to handle it appropriately. Left to their own devices (like with my etron) they could care less. Spend a LOT of time researching and would wait a few years if you’re determined to own the Audi (they are sharp). If you have to get one sooner id demand the 120k warranty thrown in. Based on my experience you’ll need it - can only imagine the issues once the car is a coupe years old.

Charging issue

I own an Etron since July 2019, I had some issue with dashboard, warning (safety sensor, safety air bag) it always take week to the dealer to fixed, but since December, the max charging i get over night is 170 miles, I'm not able to get the 204... The car already s stay at the shop for 20 days in January and they are not able to fix it, i had to open a case with Audi us and they are not helpful at all, the car full load cost us 86k and we don't get what you pay for...Asking Audi, they almost tell me to be happy with 170 miles... I also own an A7 2020, no problem perfect car, but stay away from the etron or wait 2 years, EV is to new for Audit and they don't have staffs for fix any issue, very disappointed.

The car looks amazing and handles well.

I have owned this car for about a month now. I have placed numerous calls to the dealer as well as had it in the shop numerous times. I really like the car they had on the lot and unfortunately it had 2800 miles on it already. I initially did not have the recommended 240 volt outlet, but the dealer insisted I take it that day. I charged it with the 120 volt outlet which did take about the 3 days it said. At which point only showed a range of about 170 miles. The dealer said that this was because I was using the regular outlet. Fine, I drove it and the range stated was the range that it was. I, then, had the 240 volt outlet installed and the range still did not go up beyond 170 miles. It also stated it would take 14 hours to charge. Calling the service at the dealership again, they said that the charger defaults to 50% charging power instead of the 100% (Im not sure why this is even a feature of the charger). But they told me how to fix it, and it was done. I was also told this would improve the range. The charging time fixed with the charger fix, but the range did not. I then told them I needed to bring it in, because this range in unacceptable, 15% difference from what Audi states?!? They brought it in for service, kept it 1 week, told me the range will charge to 180 miles, but that due to the fact that this is the winter and the temperatures are cold as well (as many other variables, like using the heat) it would not charge to the 204 miles Audi promised. First day back at our house, charged to 100%, range 166 miles. Of note, we have the heat on, the radio, but are not using any of the USB ports or any other accessories to decrease the range. I would think I should still get close to the estimated range Audi promised despite these features. This is probably one of the nicest looking cars I have ever owned, but the range falling way short is a huge deterrent for this car. This is a huge problem as there are not as many of the chargers for this car around unlike the Tesla chargers.

Surprisingly affordable & range-y EV; eTron rocks!

The eTron comes with $7,500 EV credit, and $25,000 write-off for business owner. When combined with EOY dealer discount, it turns out to be about the same as an A4 or Q5. Beautiful Audi interior, perfectly proportional exterior, better but heavier handling than BMW X5, especially in rain. The biggest surprise is that I am only charging every 2 - 3 days, and the early anxiety about range is pretty much gone. The only complaint is that Audi MMI vs. CarPlay confusion. Sometimes, it refuses to do either, LoL

Luxury Ride

I had been looking for a midsize BEV SUV, and the Audi E-Tron has ticked all the right boxes. The E-Tron has that luxury ride and feel with a whisper quiet cabin that it's competitors are lacking. The vehicle has an incredibly fast charge rate on the Electrify America 150kW DC fast charger network. Compared to its competition that starts off at a similar DC charge level on its superchargers, but quickly dials back the charge rate, the E-tron maintains the 150kW level well past 90% full on the battery, cutting in half the time spent recharging the vehicle on trips. Audi has obviously spent a great deal of time and effort on the battery thermal management, which is reflected in the superior recharge times. The vehicle has not only met, but surpassed my expections, and I would highly recommend it.
