Explore the 2007 Audi Q7

First, but not last, Audi

The Q7 3.6 Premium is a wonderful car with excellent features and details. It is a beautiful car that got many compliments everywhere I went. The gray 20 inch rims look great on this car. I saw many, many, many people check out my car and look through the windows to see the interior. My favorite feature is the panaramic sunroof and turning bi-xenon headlamps. The key has a special feature of memorizing seat settings, temperature settings, mirror setting, and tells you if you remembered to lock your car. Another good thing about the Q7 is that it has a lot of cup holders. The 3rd row seat is not the easiest to get into, but is not bad for short trips. The MMI system is very easy to use. The navigation system was easy to program and follow. It had 2 displays of direction. I highly recommend getting the parking assist system. This car is very comfortable for a family of 4 with lots of luggage, going on a road trip. The Audi dealers are very nice with helpful people and nice facilities. I think this car is much better than the Volvo XC90 in look, prescence, comfort, space, power, and dealerships. I recommend this car to anyone consiering a luxury, European SUV that has 3 rows of seats.

"I was so impressed I bought my wife one"

After purchasing my Q7 V-8 with 21" wheels last November I bought aQ7 V-6 for my wife in January. We both enjoy the styling, handling, safety, comfort and size. Her last two cars were a Volvo XC90 and a BMW X5. My last two were a Volvo V70R wagon and a BMW 540iT wagon

i really like this suv better than any other. it has many great features that other suvs dont have. it starts at a really cheap price for a full sized luxury suv.

Another great Audi that SUVs/SAVs should fear

As with all Audi's (we had an A6 first), the Q7 provides overall solid cornering, acceleration, and road manners without too rough of a ride; a perfect top-of-the-line driving blend. This is a particularly true of the Q7 equipped w/the (more attractive) optional double-spoke 20? wheels matched to all-seasons; all-season rubber so that the Quattro AWD functionality is not diminished (summer, sport rubber will negatively impact any AWD and will wear out quickly). The drivers seat position allows near 360 degree visibility which further enhances a spirited driving experience. Sport or manual shift mode shift will rid any mild, initial acceleration lag from zero or at low RPMs, which frankly has been over exaggerated in other 'professional' reviews. Slightly sad :-( the Audi DRG wheel-mounted shifter paddles are only available on the "S"-line, which (in my opinion) comes is less desirable cosmetic interior/exterior selections. (DRG paddles are not necessary, but they are fun.) The rear back-up camera is quite helpful given the 'full-size', but the Audi audible sensor assist should be included at the front bumper (they are in the rear) to allow for tighter maneuverability w/o any fear of collision. The technology package (in-dash 6-disc CD, nav, MMI, Bluetooth, active safety/lighting, the list goes on and on) is quite complete, especially the keyless entry and start (Acura still beats everyone in the Nav department with their real-time satellite based system; but...MDX doesn't even offer a keyless option or the refined German driving experience). The open sky-roof window is fantastic, and makes the interior airy and bright (a must-have option). Optional wireless rear-seat headset entertainment system is attractive and perfect for kids (adult male kids or real kids). The rear captain chairs w/adjustable center console is pure first-class luxury (but a bit less functional). The non-powered, third-row seating is slightly difficult to access and provides only average leg and headroom (keep this in mind only IF you will use these seats regularly, which few ever do).

Fun car to drive!

Driving my 4.2 up to 120 mph was really smooth and quiet. The engine felt like it would do 150 mph no problem. However, I know that it is speed controlled at 130. Everywhere I go I get questioned about this Audi. If you are into cars this is a car person's car.

Q7 is Awesome!

Great car! Go drive every SUV you have your eye on. Then drive the Audi Q7, 4.2 Premium. If your reaction is anything like mine you will buy the Audi. The quality, fit and finish is beyond most other SUV?s that I drove. Good luck!

Vibrates at high speed

Stay away from this Audi until it is redesigned. VIBRATES at high speed acceleration. AUDI offered to tow the Q7 and it only had 400 miles on it. STAY AWAY from the Q7.

Perfect Blend of Sport, Space and Luxury

Audi was able to deliver a unique set of features that have been mutually exclusive until now - sporty performance with third-row seating and a near-luxury experience. Ours has the 4.2L V8 and is optioned with the Panorama Roof, 6-Seat layout with rear A/C and heated 2nd row seats, navigation, premium leather and a few minor options. I found the price competitive with BMW and Mercedes - however one does pay for the upmarket materials and V8 performance - so one shouldn't consider it basic transportation. I also reviewed the 2007 Acura MDX, BMW X5 4.4i, Mercedes ML500 and GL500 and the Infiniti FX45. It may prove to be expensive to feed over its lifespan, but I am initially pleased with this purchase. Recommended.

I own a 4.2 Premium, Q7.

O.K. both of the previous reviewers really know very little about the Q7 and it is obvious by their comments. First, buy a 4.2 V8 if the V6 is too slow for you. However, the V6 is not anything near dog slow compared to other V6 SUV's on the market of this size and weight. My 4.2 V8 is very powerful, 350 hp. with a top end near 150 mph. Second, my dealer installed headrest DVD's. The original headrests are replaced with a much larger pair that matches the leather, stitching, color exactly. Third, if you want a lame SUV by the QX56. It is like most all of the other SUV's on the market. The fit and finish, design, and quality of the Q7 is far above 95% of all SUV's on the market. I have driven most every luxury SUV on the market and after driving the Q7 I had to buy one. I have owned my Q7 for 1 month and one word summarizes it "awesome"!

Very Slow - V6

I took a look at the Q7 ( loaded all packages also the S package) I drove the V6 version and it was a dog. It just would not get up and go. For a SUV that was sticker over $57k I would expect a lot more power. The V8 with the S package loaded up with all the options packages was in the upper $60's. I did not think it was worth it. I have no problem spending that much, my biggest problem is I was disappointed that a DVD entertainment system in not even an option. If you get the panoramic sunroom (which would be a must) you have nowhere to put the TV screens. The front head rests are too small and would only accommodate a very small screen, which I feel would not be worth installing them. My current vehicles have DVD systems in them and on trips it is a must to have with two kids under 6. The other features the Q7 offers was pretty nice but with those few draw back I am still on the market looking.
