Most fun and reliable N54 I've owned
The 135i is a very fun car to own, very easy to drive and perfect for a DD. I have never really had a problem over a 3 year period (70k - 110k). The exterior and interior held up well and you simply can't beat it for the value, safety and performance. I will definitely buy another N54 in the near future.

As fun as they come
I owned a 2008 135i and it certainly lives up to the title 'Ultimate Driving Machine.' The 135i is extremely responsive and so agile, it puts the driver in complete control. This car will put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel. But depending on the mileage and engine, may hit you with some expensive maintenance bills. Get one with low mileage and take car of it. You wont own a better all around sports car for the money.

Most fun car I've owned
I love my BMW, even though sometimes I wish I still had my Jeep because it was bigger obviously, this car is very reliable, super fun to drive, faster car I've owned and super comfy. Great size for parking and very easy to drive.

The little beast
I have had the car for the last 52k miles of 103k total. This is not the most reliable car out there, but for-sure is the fastest for the money and to me spending $2500 on repairs for six years of ownership was well worth. Cobb tuned with at 407hp and 434 lb/tq at the crank on 93 octane and much higher on e35 mix. The aftermarket support for this car is unbelievable and prices on parts went down so much lately that I don't see any better value tuner's car out there.

4 wheel smile machine
this is a driver's car, and there is nothing else like it. it's quicker and handles better than almost any other sports car on the street, but you can still get in & out easily as well as load up the trunk with groceries. for some reason people compare it to a nissan 350z or 370z, but i don't. the nissan is too small and cramped inside and is hard to get in or out. the bmw has plenty of room (at least in the front seats) and will destroy a Z off the line AND in turns. people who do not know about this car will just think you couldn't afford a more expensive BMW. but pull up next to another 135 owner and you can just smile & nod at each other. screw the rest of the drivers if they don't understand...you can just leave them staring at your taillights wondering what happened. a friend of mine has a porsche cayman s. he did not know anything about the 135, so i let him drive it. all he said was "wow". i'll take the 135 all day. granted, this car will beat you up after driving on rough roads all day. it is bouncier than a bounce house, but you'll have just as much fun as a 6 year old doing flips in said bounce house. my 135 is not my daily driver so i really turn it loose when i drive it, although i end up driving it 2-3 days a week because it's just so much fun. i love to look back at it and smile when i park it. mileage is around 20mpg. i have a 135 coupe with the 6 speed manual and it shifts almost as smooth as this silky 6cyl twin turbo engine. on the highway or a smooth road it is great. on the curvy roads outside of the city is is AMAZING! i used to have a tricked out BMW M roadster and this 135 is more fun than that car. i can't say enough good things about it. if you can only afford 1 car, and don't need to carry people in the back, there is nothing more fun yet still practical than the 135. i still don't understand how the trunk is so big. it seems bigger than the dimensions of the car, like some kind of magical black hole that holds golf clubs. if you have the good fortune to be able to buy a 2nd "fun" car, you will simply not find a better one. the interior is quite nice without being overly complicated. i don't have the idrive (on purpose). inside is very comfortable with plenty of leg, hip, shoulder, and head room, even if it is a bit "bare bones". this is not a "luxury" vehicle - it is a deceptive rocket ship. stop reading and go buy one already. you can find them under $18k with low miles as of 2016.

Rocket...on Rails
Spent 4 months looking nationwide for the right 135i Coupe, 6MT. Purchased an '08, 57K on the clock. 1 owner, all maintenance early or at interval. Having an absolute BLAST! I've owned an E39 M5 and (I know it's going to read like blasphemy) I'm enjoying the 135 even more. Get one!
