The Best Sport Sedan

I am really impressed with the BMW 3 series. I test drove just about every sport sedan available on the used market, and for me, the 3 series won by a large margin. The standard seats are comfortably firm. Unlike in a lot of small sedans, I have just enough headroom to be comfortable, and there is room in the back for adults to sit comfortably. The quality of the leather feels higher than in other small sporty sedans. The layout of the controls is very good. The functions are mostly intuitive, but it pays to read through the manual. I love being able to pair my phone for hands-free calling and control my iPod through the head unit. The top-of-the line Harman/Kardon stereo is excellent. The car has good power, and while I wouldn't mind more horsepower, I love the smooth and consistent power of the naturally aspirated inline six cylinder engine. I also drove the 335 with the turbocharged six, and newer 325s with the turbo four cylinder, but preferred the non-turbo six. It won't knock you back in your seat, but it has plenty of musical power when you step on it. Where the 3 series really stood out for me is the amazing handling and steering. None of the other cars I drove come close. There's a reason you see so many of these on the roads. They truly are awesome cars! At current prices, the used 328s offer a lot of value for the money.

Best luxury sport sedan value

This 2011 E90 BMW 328i sedan was an "upgrade" from a 2006 330i sedan I had 4 years ago. This car only had 13k miles on it when I bought it nearly one year ago. I now have 18,xyz miles on it, going nowhere really, but just enjoy driving it. The sport suspension and seats make this a complete package. The fact that this car has many other options (nav, pdc, xenons, heated seats, etc) are the icing on the cake. I TRIED to like a non sport autotragic 2011 328i wagon, I LOVED everything but the standard seats and the stupid automatic transmission. A total buzz kill for me. My 76 year old neighbor that bought it loves the car though.

This car has met my needs but time for sonething new. It needs some minor maintenance typical aging needs. Driver side has scratch under passenger door. Car is still a pretty vehicle just needs a little TLC.

Peppiest car I've ever owned!

Fun car to drive, especially with the sun roof open! Has always been garaged and well cared for, inside and out. With less than 34,000 miles, it's barely been broken in.

Best Car I owned

In comparison to the other beemers I have driven or loaned, this particular model, the E93 outperforms all the other models in a general aspect. Considering The power, the is more than enough every time you need the acceleration in case of emergencies.

Best overall Value

Great vehicle. Big enough to carry 1 or 2 passengers and great for warmer weather when you can put the top down. Smooth Transmission makes it a great manual car to drive.

Best car I've owned to date

I think that this is a great car for everyday use. I love the Xdrive aspect because I live in CT so we need AWD here in the winter. The car looks amazing and handles even better. I would give it a 5/5 but since I am over 6 feet tall this car lacks space for me, i woukld not recommend getting it if you are tall. Other than that this car is amazing I think I will never go back to Japanese cars after driving this gem.

Driving fun

My BMW 328xi is a precision machine. It starts with a low growl and accelerates to s smooth hum through all six gears. It is a sports car so do not expect a luxury ride but rather one that tells you what the road is doing at all times. This car corners like it is on rails, at speed and while it will not outrun the V-8 muscle's it still has plenty of go power. Pure driving fun!

Careful with the transmission

Was not as comfortable as I expected. Feels all the pot holes and the rough roads. The transmission is a known issue for this year model 2009-2012
