My favorite car I own

This car has filled my need for a sporty vehicle I could drive all year. I absolutely love it. The features on this car really help and are completely user friendly.

Sporty and fast but also comfortable

Solid ride, super fast in sport mode! Love the clean leather interior and sleek exterior. Bluetooth and heads up display have been super convenient. Sound system is great as well!

Exceptional blend of comfort and performance

I've owned three BMW 3-series vehicles, all F30 body types (same models), in various configurations from this 335i 6-cylinder turbo to a 4-cylinder Diesel all-wheel drive model. This 335i is the best of the lot. While the original MSRP creeps up into 5-series price, it retains the compact exterior of a 3-series but includes all of the luxury features you want in a high-end model. For starters, the available power in the 300 hp I-6 engine just destroys anything in the same class or price range from Audi or Mercedes, but the power is deceptive and very smooth with traction well controlled by BMW's DSC and handling control. Also, despite the fact that it has a 3-liter turbocharged engine, I still average 26 mpg in my mixed highway/city street commute, the same as I do in my 2-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged 328i, and much better than the 22 mpg I averaged in my 2004 Audi A4 quattro. I personally attribute this to the power the engine has - it doesn't take a heavy application of throttle to get the car moving. The interior is designed for a driver. At first I hated the iDrive system that BMW uses, however, I travel often for business, and after suffering through the systems that Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Hyundai, and Chevrolet use, especially for audio controls, I realize how much more intuitive the BMW system is. The 360-degree camera system is something I thought would be a waste but is extremely helpful when parking and not wanting to curb a wheel. The front L/R cameras for pulling out are the same - what I initially thought of as a superfluous feature but have come to really appreciate. The heads-up display has user configuration options for the amount of information to display, the Bluetooth connectivity is simple to use and doesn't randomly call people or forget your device. The A/C keeps up with Las Vegas, NV, summers, and I haven't had an issues with the car to this point that would require me to use the CPO warranty or included additional maintenance and service coverage. All in all, this car - used - is excellent value and an outstanding entry-level European semi-luxury performance sedan.

dislike basic drivetrain management

2014 335i X drive M Sport w/ M performance power package added. Kids don't like backseat ride. I like M sport steering wheel. Exhaust can be noisy when you don't want it or just have drone at 1500 rpm. Sometimes has now "classic" (since 2011 - this was my 4th bmw) throttle or shifting hesitation (comfort mode) from stop light - my biggest pet peeve w/ newer BMWs. Dealer said its normal/can't fix/can't duplicate. M performance power kit helped but didn't fix. Dislike mushy throttle response while driving around town in traffic in comfort mode - have to rev it to 2000 rpm/turbo which is too aggressive or drive in Sport, which hangs at 2000 rpm most of time. I would expect 6 cylinder to have more torque. I think BMW tunes for fuel economy and/or function of 8 speed trans. As vehicle approached 18,000 miles, hesitations and rough engine running after cold weather starts occurs < under 32 F. Operator manual says don't idle to warm up but drive off at moderate speed. Dealer says to warm it more or this is normal/couldn't duplicate but it wasn't like that new. X drive seems to push/understeer more in turns, but maybe that is the all season tires too, its better when you run equal tire pressure front and rear, as the dealer sets. Maybe I am too picky because I did drive other competitors and chose this one.

GREAT CAR! Only wish the handling was more respons

This is an amazing car, the only flaw I have is that I wish the steering had more feedback. It's terrible, but it's not as connected as other sports cars I have driven (Mercedes CLK, Mercedes SLK, Porsche Boxster).

Going somplace should be half the fun!

Great car, had a very comfortable well laid out interor, with good speed and great exhaust note, love the sound and style of this car. Navigation and the phone quality is great, most people don't realize I'm driving when they are calling me. The handling is great and is need because to the quick response to stepping on the gas. Also getting 25-27MPG.

Best all wheel drive option to the m3

With the factory mperformance parts, like mine is outfitted with, you simply can?t go wrong! This is my first automatic BMW I?ve ever owned and it has changed my mind about driving a stick ever again! I?ve owned BMW?s for the last 18 years, every iteration of M3 until the current f80, and this sedan fulfills my ?M3 urge? of buying an impractical car for New England weather! Love it and would recommend this car to anybody. Just make sure you get a CPO or warrantied car. Repairs are expensive out of warranty.
