Best Luxury Car!
The new Escalade beats the froeign competition by a mile. Great ride and many great features! Take my advice, get the 22in rims, they look sweet! GM used the right formula. Dont buy a Lexus, this is much better!

Get a 2007 Infiniti QX56 instead!
This is not the best luxury car you'll find. The features are not the best. The 2007 Infiniti QX56 is better. MUCH BETTER! Don't get this car!

Not the best SUV
To be honest, the 2007 Cadillac Escalade is not the best luxury SUV you'll find. The features are not the most up to date. You're better off with a 2007 Infiniti QX56! Don't get this car!

Looks better then it drives.
I made the mistake of letting good looks sway me into buying this SUV. I picked it up in February and it has been in the shop four times since, once for over a week as the dealership tried to obtain a whole new A/C system, which they told me twice before there was nothing wrong with. The EFI transmission in my opinon is also sluggish compared to the 2004 Caddy. Also count on 11MPG...

King of the large SUV class
What really sold us on the 2007 Escalade was a combination of looks and features. It is a stunningly beautiful car on the outside. The "Range Rover"-like side details were a nice touch and the car has smaller gaps in the door wells which makes it look more European. Unfortunately, the paint work is not as nice as our Touareg, but we can live with that. It just doesn't have that smooth paint look like the high-end German cars always get right. The 22" chrome wheels are very nice and the grill looks aggressive and modern. Chrome appointments throughout the exterior upgrade the look of the SUV. The automatic rear-lift was a very nice add as my wife was having problems with the Touareg on opening the back while holding our daughter. With the Escalade, you just press a button. Originally, we thought that the remote start would never be used as we live in Texas and thought of that as a cold weather feature, but we use it frequently to cool the car down as we load it up. However, one feature we miss from the Touareg is the auto-unlock since it would sense the key in your pocked. With the Escalade, you have to hit the unlock button after fumbling for the key. On the interior, we got every upgrade on the car and really like the navigation and entertainment system. Our daughter is a big fan of the TV in back and the six-disc DVD player is nice for switching out movies. The climate control system is great and the seating is very comfortable and spacious. One negative is that the wood work doesn't look as nice and it does look fake (not sure if it is or not), but overall the interior looks very polished and luxurious so this isn't a major concern. For large SUVs, the 2007 Escalade is clearly king. It has more horsepower than the supercharged version of the Range Rover (i.e. the highest-end version). It has better looks than all of them except for maybe the highest-end Range Rover, although even there I believe the Escalade looks more aggressive and modern (but definitely has worse paint work). Playing catch-up (like the rear-view camera they added this year), it has as many amenties and some that the others don't. It is safer than previous models with the curtain airbag system (something we really liked on the Touareg). And it drives amazingly well, balancing sportiness with one of the most comfortable rides we have ever experienced.
