How Escalade stacked against other high end SUV's

by Luxary SUV Guy from Fort Lauderdale, FL on Wed May 11 2011

I have methodically and meticulously studied, test driven and compared 9 different luxury SUV's. Some have better handling, some have nicer interior or exterior options than others, some have a better price, some are a little classier, some are roomier, some are more user-friendly and some carry a better name than others. The 2009 Escalade Hybrid excelled in every category, in my mind, making it the clear and decisive winner!!! ...oh, and as a cherry on top, it's nice to save a least a little gas in this economy.

Best of both worlds

by psuedo greenie from cincinnati on Tue Apr 19 2011

although expensive, it combines the best of both worlds... you average close to 20 mpg in one of the biggest vehicles on the road... highway driving you don't see any improvement, but in the city you do... big time... i have a yukon and escalade hybrid and like em both.... i would recommend them to anyone... if you need the size, and can afford it, you will be happy....

AWESOME SUV

by mimi from Palatine, Illinois on Thu Nov 27 2008

I just got my 2009 black escalade for my anniversary and christmas gift. I love this vehicle. It handles so well compared to the regular escalade and the sound is so quiet and it rides so smoothly. It has a similar ride to my husbands BMW 750li. I cannot believe that this large SUV handles like a luxury car. I am so happy to have this truck. Also, EVERYONE look and stare and I love it. I'm getting the letting taken off because it is a little tacky.

Our Take on the 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid

Hybrids have gone from one extreme to the other here in the U.S. Honda introduced hybrid motoring with the 2000 Insight, a 1,847-pound two-seater whose gauntlet of features included door handles and a horn. Today we examine a 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, a vehicle that weighs more than 6,000 pounds and has eight seats, four-wheel drive, 22-inch chrome wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, GPS navigation, a backup camera, a video entertainment system, 14-way-adjustable heated and cooled power leather seats, and power actuation for the pedals, side mirrors, liftgate and running boards. The Insight wasn't quite enough car. Is the Escalade Hybrid too much?

Though it had its fans, the Insight wasn't a mass-market product... Read More
