A Nicely Styled Car

This car has everything style wise but lacks paower. Gas mileage is ~27 which is what I was expecting. Have gotten several comments on how cool the car looks and it does look coll; I bought Brillant Black.

I am very happy with the car.

The car is doing very well and had no problems at all. I believe the gas consumption will get better with higher temperatures.

How Can You Be Negative?

I just purchased a 2010 SXT (slightly used) last weekend... and, so far, I'm not disappointed. I commute 75 miles per day to and from work, so I spend a LOT of time in my car. I have always owned 4-cylinder cars simply for the economical aspect, and this, by far, has WAY more power than I was expecting. I'm not looking for a car that will do 0-60 in 3.4 seconds... I simply need a car that will get me from point A to point B. I'm pleased with what I've seen thus far. The ride is comfortable, quiet and smooth. It finds it's "sweet spot" at about 72 mph on the interstate. The satellite radio keeps me well entertained and if not, the auxiliary port makes it easy to attach my iPhone and listen to whatever I want. The location of the features is perfect for me and makes driving simple. Sure, the dash it plastic... isn't everything plastic these days? I don't think it distracts from the vehicle at all. I will say, I was a bit disappointed to learn that the Bluetooth feature is not an option on the SXT... but who cares when it only cost me $40 to get a handsfree dock for iPhone that uses the Aux port? The craziest feature in this car? The 4 can, in-dash, beverage cooler... seriously??? All I can say is that I can see where this might get some people in serious trouble. Fortunately, I don't drink... so my beverage cooler will be used for 5-hour energy and rootbeer! :) I've driven Altima, I've driven Camry, I've driven Mazda... but when I can I can purchase a car of this quality for only $15k, including tax, title and license... is there really any comparison?

Great value

I rent about 30 cars a year for business travel. I always rent SUV's but I am glad there wasnt one available on my last trip. I had been looking for a economical car to supplement our gas guzzlers and was extremely impressed with the comfort and style of the Avenger. It's not a luxury car by any means but with heated seats, heated mirrors, standard satelite radio and steering wheel audio controls, its well worth the money. I bought a used Avenger with 15,000 miles within a couple weeks of first driving one and have continued to be impressed all around.

Avenger - NOT

My 2010 Subaru is in the shop to repair some deer damage and Enterprise reneted me one of these. The unit I got is te middle V6 model (leather, sat radio, etc) The unit has 10,000 miles on it so its fairly new. I truely understand why Chrysler is number 3 US maker Look are OK - not well thought out. From the drivers seat you feel like the nose is 50 feet away. The dash top is LONG and reflective so it reflects in the drivers windopw - very annoying. Controls are all in strange places and not very logical. The back window is useless - you cant see out of it due to the angle of the glass and the height. Seats feel ok - a little tight getting the belt on. Even with the seat all the way back there is not enough legroom (I am 5/10) and I hit my head on the door frame getting in and out. The interior lighting is all LED - bright stark white and makes the interior look even worse. Highbeam control also has a lag - maybe a tenth of a second - enough to notice. The cabin is noisy. At highway speed there is a nasty wind sound coming just next to the drivers ear. Engine performance is good - a very noticable lag when accelrating hard pulling onto the highway but once it goes - it goes. Handling is just plain AWFUL. There is little to no road feel. It feels like you are driving your Dad's 1968 Cutlass or something like that. A simple right/left avoidence move results in terrible pitch and body roll and actually an extra turn and correction. During a long arcing turn (highway type) the car wants to dig into the turn and requires constant correction. Stay away from this car......

An Embarrassment

Where do I begin. Well after my C Class was totaled, this is what I received as a temporary replacement and I can't believe they put these cars on the road. Most of the good reviews was for the R/T but this was not one of them. Exterior: decent style, a bit bulky, hub cap rims and limited view from the rear window. Interior: ALL PLASTIC PARTS, Uncomfortable seating, basic, no real heat/AC control, flimsy visors, doors are heavy with uncomfortable placement of handle, windows are loud when opening and closing and so are the locks and the size of the dash is like something from a truck with limited views. You definitely cannot see the hood in this thing. Performance: This car felt like it struggled every time I hit the gas and it sounds like a moped. You can hear everything in the vehicle weather the windows were open or closed. The handling is scary and I would not go over 60 in it. The steering is sensitive but not firm. It did take bumps well but that's all I can really say about it. Overall, I would never buy this vehicle and I can now understand why the American car industry is going down in flames. After being in an accident in my C class hit by an SUV and flipped into a metal bus stop and being able to walk away along with driving this vehicle and feeling so unsafe gives me more reason to stay away from American cars with Caddies being an exception. Now, it is unfair to compare this vehicle to a C class but what you get in a 08-09 C class that is standard made from what they make space shuttles with for the same price as an Avenger made from recycled plastic. I guess a car made from recycled plastic is considered "Going Green".

I'm lovin' it!!

Smooth and comfortable ride. Great family vehicle. Good gas milage. Roomy inside and looks to kill outside. I went from an SUV to this car. I never thought I would buy a car but this car has the qualities of being a family vehicle without having the typical socer mom vibe.
