I own 2 dakotas they are a very reliable truck

So far I like it the V6 lacks power but it's ok for what I use it for a v8 would be better but it has low miles so not to bad.

It's just a truck until you own it.

This is my 1st truck, and I've always liked them but I never understood the connection between guys and their truck until now. The Dakota is a perfect fit for me, a medium sized truck, that I can drive with relative comfort knowing it's not too big for a parking deck. It's slow on the giddy up, but it will haul anything you can fit in the bed, and then some. The interior is simple, easy to read while driving and all the controls are easy to reach and simple to use. The suspension is a typical Dodge suspension, you feel those potholes but it's not uncomfortable per say. This truck has taught me patience on the road, which has saved me a lot of stress on my commutes to and fro. There's ample room in the engine bay for the home mechanics, and do it yourselfers, like me. I test drove it and basically bought it on the test drive, give her a chance, and you won't regret it!

Dodge Dakota Experience

This truck never let me down once. Small enough for the city and large enough for the country. Never let me down.

Great truck

This truck is exactly what I was looking for and more! I've been wantin a truck for some time but couldn't find the perfect one. I saw this truck online and went to the dealership to look and inquire about it and we ended up leaving with it. I love it, it's perfect!

A used vehicle is only as good as how the previous owner maintained it! The Dakota Quad cab seems to give you plenty of options.

Best Vehicle I've ever owned!

I never thought I would own a Dodge. I've heard great things about their trucks. I work with Mechanical Engineers and 80% of them owned a Dodge truck. I typically trade in a vehicle ever 2-3 years but not with my current Dodge, I love it. It's been very reliable and very good to me with little to no mechanical issues. The 1st vehicle I didn't end upside down on. I recommend a Dodge truck any day!

This truck requires front end sevice continously

I have the 2wd 4door SLT model. I like this truck a lot prefect size for what I do. However this truck is hard on front end parts; ball joints, tie rod ends, stabilizer links. I bought the truck used with 12,000 miles and I only have 48,000 miles on it and these parts have been replace twice now. Which means the outside of the tires wear quickly and it has to be aligned also. It is a rougher ride but can haul a little more weigh then I thought. The V-8 has good pulling power but only get about 14-15 miles per gallon. Could have bought a full size truck, but wont fit in the garage.

safe truck to drive

I have a v6 engine 2 wheel drive. It has one fault...responds poor on bad roads. Rough riding truck. I have had 2 other dakotas...1990 (new); 1993 (used) ; AND this 2007 (used). I just wonder if a previous owner put on heavier springs or stiff shocks. I have put on 13000 miles in the two years and 5 months; bought it with 35000 miles.
