Most Excellent Ride
After having 4 Rodeo's (no longer made), driving my last one well beyod 100k miles, I went searching for a new SUV / crossover. I drove many new 2011 vehicles, but none were impressing me until I drove the 2011 Dodge Journey. Wow! What a fantastic ride! I was done looking. Priced way below it's rival competition too! I purchased a Silver "Crew" model with the 8.4N Uconnect pkg, the normal cloth (black) interior, beautiful 19" alloy wheels, the 3.6 liter 283hp Pentastar engine, and I feel like I'm cruising in a luxury liner. Beautiful dash layout and color scheme by the way. Just got back from 1000 mile round trip to the beach, carrying 3 bicycles racked on the back, and it drove like a dream. The only reason I gave it a 4 on performance is because of a slight lag in pickup you can encounter if you are light footed, due to electronic relaying of gas pedal info. Anticipate pickup needs and be more heavy footed with the Journey and you'll be fine though and get all the extra power you'll need when/if you need it. I'm totally happy with this solid vehicle.

Favorite of Every Vehicle Ever Own!
Tested nearly every Ford-Lincoln SUV and Crossover and was terribly discouraged with sticker shop. The new Explorer Limited is priced out of line with most of us on a tight budget, especially in the wake of the economy and families to feed on meager incomes. This new purchase, a 2011 Dodge Journey LUX has even more amenities and safety features (aside from inflatable rear seatbelt system, rather gimmicky & costly) than the '11 Explorer we initially ordered, pre-Journey discovery from Dodge. Upon close inspection of the heavy, slow new Explorer, we broke our deal at Ford at a loss. After a week, we looked elsewhere and immediately fell in love with every aspect of the top-of-the-line Journey referred to as "LUX" for luxury edition, the dealer informed us. For every option available and a staggering number of standard features, including Garmin Navigation, dual front climate controls with rear heating, air conditioning and fresh air ventilation, new super powerful & fuel efficient Pentastar V6, stellar stereo/nine speaker/entertainment system benefiting driver & all passengers/telecommunications upgrades with free weather alerts with package, heated/power seats & mirrors, premium leather seating & trim of the highest quality switchgear & materials for '11, AWD, DVD system for all rows, copious storage area & cubbies, countless upholders throughout, luxury car pearl coat paint and additional MOPAR brand accessories to make the 4x4 stand out among even other Dodge Journeys, we saved almost $20,000.00 over a similarly equipped Ford Crossover. Do not get me wrong, if money was NOT an object, the Explorer might have satisfied us, too, but the Journey is probably the very best bargain of all crossover/SUV's with the most power, best mpg's, ride & handling and quality combined into what very attractive one-of-a-kind offroad/on road people mover.

The Best EVERYTHING Vehicle Ever!
I am very happy with our 2011 Dodge Journey LUV purchase. After years of driving two minivans, one for my wife and the other for me, it was time to think outside of the box (no pun intended) and add some additional fun to the mix: AWD and something a bit rugged with sacrificing the outstanding ride quality, etc. Our past Dodge Grand Caravans proved flawless and our ?11 Chrysler Town & Country variant, also new is even better than the best of all past vehicles in our many years of driving. Because of this and so much more pleasant memories behind the wheel, I decided to go with a fully equipped Journey with All-Wheel-Drive, power everything, leather seats, navigation and all other creature comforts, as someone always seeming to be on the road for business or pleasures, often with the entire family or a car load of sports fans heading to an away game in just about any kind of weather fathomable. No matter the function, the 4X4 Journey does everything with great precision, comfort and the best performance in its class! The large navigation screen is a must and includes many features for fun, safety and drivability in most user friendly means possible. I think Dodge literally built the Journey LUX around the driver and each passenger. It is that safe, solid, confident, easy to operate and perfect in every way? all while delivering exceptional gas mileage, peace of mind, traction, superior fit, finish, ride and handling. The quality of parts is unparalleled, except perhaps for the other Chrysler products offered for 2011, such as our T&L Limited, a friend?s HEMI V8 Jeep and the Dodge Grand Caravan R/T and ?Luxury? edition we considered.

The BEST VALUE for money
I have the RT Mexican version, quite close to the Lux version. I read a couple of experts review and decided to go for it in spite of the fact that for theses experts it was not a big deal. What decided me was that one of them criticized the v6 pentastar engine, one of the Ward?s best ten 2011 engines. The 2011 Journey is wonderful, my son has an equivalent form other company, and after driving the Journey he says that it is my best buy (past, present and future). In Mexico the Japanese equivalents cost much more that the Journey, and most of them do not include GPS navigation system. I would be very embarrassed if I would choose one of them.

The 2011 is Flawless!
I drive a new '11 Dodge Charger R/T & cannot say enough great things about it. After buying the sedan, we had thought seriously about replacing our minivan, but have been toying around with getting a crossover. The Charger is proving to be the most trouble free car out there so we first decided to go with the new '11 Durango, an all new SUV. While the Durango is a gem, we kept admiring the '11 Journey on the showroom floor. It captured the eye of the children and the incredible gas mileage sold us. The ride is smooth and very compliant. Handling is close to that of the RWD Charger. It maneuvers with great ease and handles turns with precision. Parking is a breeze. Nothing in its class matches the refinement of the '11 model-year Journey and the new look of the redesigned 4-wheeler is handsome, even sporty, especially in the red metallic peal coat we opted for. It looks great parked next to my stunning gray Charger R/T and it is often tough deciding which vehicle to take on long trips. All materials, switches and hordes of creature comforts reflect Dodge's commitment to top notch reliability and owner satisfaction. The room and entertainment system, safety features and ease of operation closed the deal on our sweet 2011 Dodge Journey crossover.
